Darth InSidious
I suddenly remembered an alternative texture I found in about 2006, for the downed Hammerhead cruiser you can see from the beach of the Unknown World. So, six years late... here it is, ready for use. Download Link at Deadly Stream Download Link at KotORFiles
Blix
Looking good - would be cool if it you could enter it like an extra area with a mini sidequest including crash survivors and Mandalorians. Would add a little more to do on the Unknown world.
CptPriceless
would be cool if it you could enter it like an extra area with a mini sidequest including crash survivors and Mandalorians. Not a bad idea. The new coloring somewhat resembles Mandalorian ships from the Old Republic time period. Might be asking for too much though. Aside from that, nice work

I've actually had the idea in my head for a while, but I never decided whether or not I actually wanted to act upon it.
Sith Holocron
Hmm....this sounds like a project. I've actually had the idea in my head for a while, but I never decided whether or not I actually wanted to act upon it. An idea . . . have be enter-able only after the Temple Rooftop showdown. You can then have a recruitment mod utilize the empty space in the selection screen (whether it's from the dark side or light side choice doesn't really matter.) Granted you wouldn't be keeping the character long but at least that means you wouldn't have to write an extensive back story. And how often do you have cannon fodder as a party NPC? Shaggoth
damn! awesome idea! some areas of the ship could be filled with water and inaccessible, others just have some wet reskins and some objects from manaam maybe ))) anyhow it could be one of the must have mods
Blix
Yea I was thinking that you could be ambushed by Rakatan hunting parties while exploring the ship or something. The Endar Spire is basically the same type of ship as the crashed one right? Well maybe you could enter from the sub-level of the ship which could be a recycling of the Hrakart station from Manaan (only part of it, like some of the hallway and a pressure room with water) and you find an elevator that takes you up to the upper level(s) which would be the actual ship part (re-use of Endar Spire). Even if adding a new sidequest is too difficult (well you could make the survivors all alien so then they would either speak Huttese or something else ) or just make it a place where you can find extra loot and maybe kill some extra enemies. CptPriceless
An idea . . . have be enter-able only after the Temple Rooftop showdown. Not necessarily. It always seemed far fetched for me that simply undertaking one task - invading the other Rakatan base - would convince the One/the Elders of your motives and thereby they would open the temple door for you. Perhaps this ship mod can add an extra mission that's crucial towards gaining the Rakatan trust, and only afterwards would you have access to the temple. Since at this point you know you're Revan, an idea for the quest could surround Mandalorian Crusaders who retreated during the Mandalorian Wars. Afterall, Mandalorians were not that significant in the story - in terms of actual presence - so this mission could establish some background about them, and possibly even about Revan. This would also explain why the Mandalorians - of all the places - are on the Unknown World.
Darth InSidious
But why would they be on a Hammerhead?
CptPriceless
But why would they be on a Hammerhead? 1.) The color of the ship somewhat resembles Mandalorian Ships from the Old Republic, meaning we could call it a Mandalorian cruiser. 2.) Hijacked? Desperate for survival, these Mandalorians captured a Republic ship and under that cover, managed to escape the known galaxy. There are many possibilities for storyline. I think the real question is what the heck they thought after seeing the Star Forge - before crashlanding.
Darth InSidious
Fair enough. I'm certainly not opposed to working on such a mod. Perhaps we should move the discussion to a thread in Holowan, though?
