BoneMaster Posted December 30, 2000 Posted December 30, 2000 What program they used for monkey 1 backgrounds? I think they aren't hand drawn. Deluxe Paint maybe? ------------------ They don't call me the Bone Master for nothing
NiKo Posted December 30, 2000 Posted December 30, 2000 of course their not handrawn, the program they used for everyting is called "scumm" thats why they called the scumm bar "scummbar" and now theyre using a program called "lua" so now its called the"lua bar"
BoneMaster Posted December 30, 2000 Author Posted December 30, 2000 Monkey Island game engine is Script Creation Utility for Maniac Mansion(SCUMM). I mean what program they used for graphics? ------------------ They don't call me the Bone Master for nothing
Spiffing Blue One Posted January 10, 2001 Posted January 10, 2001 im not sure about the monkey 1 graphics but the backgrounds for monkey 2 were all watercolours which were scanned in, thus the highly detailed backgrounds. ------------------ That's the second biggest monkey head I've ever seen! -- Guybrush
Guest The Feral Chicken Posted January 10, 2001 Posted January 10, 2001 It isn't called the LUA engine! It's GRIME!

mumpizz Posted December 18, 2001 Posted December 18, 2001 don't know which they used anyway: GrafX2 http://www-msi.ensil.unilim.fr/~maritaud/sunset/ is a very good Program for that kind of work
This is taken from http://www.gamesreview.com/web/especiales/monkeyisland/pagina4.shtml I don't know Spanish TOO well, but I can make out that this story explains where Guybrush' name comes from (already knew that), AND it mentions the program Dpaint. So I guess they used that.
