edlib Posted October 28, 2014 Posted October 28, 2014 They're back... and will play on modern PCs without a bunch of rigamarole! http://kotaku.com/x-wing-tie-fighter-are-finally-getting-digital-re-rele-1651470045?utm_campaign=Socialflow_Kotaku_Facebook&utm_source=Kotaku_Facebook&utm_medium=Socialflow
Cmdr. Cracken Posted October 28, 2014 Posted October 28, 2014 We might see a boost in traffic because of it! Just... think of it.... the newbies with their questions... a generation who's never seen them. *thinks* Nope, get off my E-lawn. Brats. lol
Keyan Farlander Posted October 28, 2014 Posted October 28, 2014 Great news for those who might not have ever played these great games! Although I never had any serious problems running them on modern PCs.
edlib Posted October 28, 2014 Author Posted October 28, 2014 I never tried. I suppose I should do that first before shelling out extra cash, since I already have all the CDs.
K_Kinnison Posted October 28, 2014 Posted October 28, 2014 If you know how to run the games in an emulated mode you can play them on current computers. I wouldn't really care about playing X-wing. But i might play TIE fighter, had a great story
edlib Posted October 28, 2014 Author Posted October 28, 2014 Well... I'm excited because lots of interest in OLD X-Wing games could potentially spark interest in NEW X-Wing games... especially if fighter-to-fighter space battles play a big part in the new movie.
