Ray Jones Posted March 14, 2015 Posted March 14, 2015 Who else heard about this, already? http://blog.thimbleweedpark.com/
RoyTordesLegend Posted March 14, 2015 Posted March 14, 2015 I don't know what I'm more excited by, a new classic Ron Gilbert game, or a fresh new post from the legend Ray Jones! I hadn't heard of this either, but I haven't read Rons page for a while, life and kids just get the better of me from time to time. Looks great. Now Rons back to writing classic adventures, I'm hoping that somehow this is the beginning of light at the end of the tunnel for his version of Monkey Island 3. If he used kick starter to fund buying the rights from Lucas/Disney, I'd chip in with a cheeky 50 quid.
Zoom Rabbit Posted March 14, 2015 Posted March 14, 2015 Forget it. Disney loves monkeys, and will never give up the rights.
RoyTordesLegend Posted March 14, 2015 Posted March 14, 2015 Monkey Islands got to be a fairly tired franchise as far as they're concerned, it's probably not worth that much to them, I don't think it's completely out of the question (admitedly unlikely). He could just do something loosely similar with Brygush Weepthud and Piratey Ghost Chuckley however.
RoyTordesLegend Posted October 29, 2015 Posted October 29, 2015 For the record, I'm now mega mega excited by Thimbleweed Park, it's looking like it's gonna be a goodun (apart from the huge library bit which looks a bit wanky lol). Just need Rays thoughts now.

Kjølen Posted November 3, 2015 Posted November 3, 2015 You must have done it wrong because I'm here instead.
RoyTordesLegend Posted November 3, 2015 Posted November 3, 2015 You must have done it wrong because I'm here instead. Thought we said Candyman for you man? Guess who I'm going to summon now... Grumpygit Grumpygit Grumpygit
RoyTordesLegend Posted November 4, 2015 Posted November 4, 2015 This isn't working, that was meant to summon McCoy!
DrMcCoy Posted November 4, 2015 Posted November 4, 2015 git: 'grumpy' is not a git command. See 'git --help'.
RoyTordesLegend Posted November 4, 2015 Posted November 4, 2015 Sorry my mistake, I didn't do it in computer speak:- 10 print "grumpygit", 20 goto 10 10 print "grumpygit", 20 goto 10 10 print "grumpygit", 20 goto 10
Zoom Rabbit Posted November 4, 2015 Posted November 4, 2015 Roy, that's crazy talk in computer speak. It's: 10 print "grumpygit" 20 goto 10 Or, perhaps you meant: 10 print "grumpygit" 20 print "grumpygit" 30 print "grumpygit" Honestly. When the old codgers forget Basic...
RoyTordesLegend Posted November 4, 2015 Posted November 4, 2015 No man, the chant has to be three identical lines repeated. The code being functional is irrelevant and purely to satisfy the gods of geekiness.
Ray Jones Posted November 7, 2015 Author Posted November 7, 2015 oh did someone say pantees pantees ... pantees?
RoyTordesLegend Posted November 9, 2015 Posted November 9, 2015 Ha, would that not just summon some laundry? I really am super excited about Thimbleweed, I see they have MI1 artist Mark Ferrari working on the graphics.
