Darth Whiting
I wonder what the story will be like, think it would be cool if characters like Luke, Grand Admiral Thrawn, Han, Mara Jade and others made an appearance in the story. It'll be cool if they set the story in the Thrawn era, maybe infiltration missions sneaking into Imperial Star Destroyers.... Chimera maybe, and maybe Maw Installation. It'll be cool to get a look at these places.
nykel007
It would be cool to see these places. Although I don't think the story is set around that time. I would definitly like to see inside of a Star Destoyer.
TornSoul
This is all we know about the story I think. It's not much though. I got it from the Lucasarts site. In the tradition of the multi-award-winning Jedi Knight, rebel agent Kyle Katarn returns in exhilarating first-person action. Several years have passed since Kyle avenged his father's death and saved the Valley of the Jedi from Jerec and his band of Dark Jedi. Allowing his Force powers to languish for fear of falling to the dark side, Kyle entrusted his lightsaber to Luke Skywalker, vowing never to use it again. But when a new and menacing threat to the galaxy emerges, Kyle knows he must reclaim his past in order to save his future.
toms
Thrawn always was the coolest enemy to crop up in the EU. And i always had a bit of a thing for mara.. i would think she at least should crop up, given her link with Kyle from MOTS. How come kyle is the only one available to deal with this threat? it does imply something happens to the others..or it is a threat they don't recognise. As long as the threat doesn't end up being some force-based super gun or something cheesy like that... maybe the destruction of the death star and the release of the energy and the emperor's dark force into the atmosphere has mutated the Ewoks into dark killer teddy bears.... GA zaarinn
i think the reason y they chose kyle for this threat (not luke, mara and other jedi)because he probably delt with the most dark jedi and been through the most action.

Kurt Plummer
Darth, I like 'big open places' such as the canyon rim areas of the Jedi Planet Imperial Base. Seeing an equivalent pure-space volume inside a big Star Destroyer hangar bay with that huge open docking pit and row after row of stacked TIE Fighters would be neat. I'd also like to see more humdrum things. IIRR, each ISD carries a division of troops as well as an airwing and a standard ships crew. That means there's gonna be a BIG bunk room somewhere and probably multiple galleys and messes. Why don't we ever get to see them? Or maybe they simply fly around cryo-froze and you will encounter huge numbers of frozen popsicle coffins that 'suddenly start blinking' if you make the wrong move (imagine wandering around a room the size of a football stadium filled with 10,000 unhappy Stormtroopers in skivvies hung over and wondering why you look so 'fresh and happy'. I also like some of the wilder/more primitive locales. One of the reasons being that the inhabitants don't typically whoop me up one side and down the t'other with high-powered/explosive weaponry but also because there are more moody-lit (Hut's dungeon) and craggy-outdoor (Katarn Ranch) kinds of places to explore. I even like places like the old slums downwind of Tower Jerec (did you /see/ the big combines they've got parked out back of 'Spy Droids Beat The Crap Out Of You Alley'? I remember one book where those same combines were used as a getaway vehicle to the a Mega Freighter on an agroplanet that was more or less 'All Kansas'. Imagine a fleet of 4 story moving mountains coming at you in a field of wheat so tall you couldn't see the blades coming. I must say that if I was going to try High Society (blah surroundings) it would be the Imperial Palace or Yavin IV Temple. Big And Showy. Coruscant also has these like 1,000 story highrise buildings where the streets haven't seen a sunrise in like 300 years. A kind of 'pre-post-Terminator' Apocalypse Look with nobody decent living below about floor 130. Kurt Plummer
Lord_FinnSon
Might be old news to some of you, but StarWars.com posted a new Databank entry "Heroes of the Expanded Universe" and one of the characters shown there is Kyle. His entry tells mostly facts that we already know, but in the end there is a little bit info about JK2: Long used to operating independently, Katarn at first refused Luke Skywalker's offer to become a Jedi apprentice. Instead, he continued to serve the Alliance, now the New Republic, on many important missions. After a troubling run-in with the dark side on the forgotten Sith world of Dromund Kaas, Katarn conceded that he would benefit from Skywalker's tutelage, and joined the Jedi Master's fledgling Jedi academy. I guess this means that story begins in Jedi Academy and if I understood correctly, Kyle is training under guidance of Luke, but like November issue of PC Gamer (US) told us, he doesn't start the game with a lightsaber: he will get it later from Luke. GonkH8er
I see I'm not the only person who saw that. My friend pointed me it to me very recently. I was considering posting that up here, but I haven't had access to my computer for over 24 hours.

Ben_Walker
I heard that in JK2 there was some sort of technology that could harness the Force.

Guest JediKnight_114[b]
I posted a JK II plot guess here on these boards. While it isn't the official plot, it would work, and most, save WD-Torment and Matt Windu thought it was good. Even though it's an old post now, you can still tell me what you think. That is, if you can weed through the flame war between myself, Torment and Matt. [ November 10, 2001: Message edited by: JediKnight_114 ]
