TegSkywalker
Ok i just tested this out. If there's anybody out there that wants to edit Q3 engine games but doesn't own Quake 3 or Team Arena, I have a temp solution since GtkRadiant works with the Quake 3 demo. Alot of textures are missing of course but the basic structure is there and you can visually construct each map since the demo contains alot of default textures. So here's what you got to do: 1. Nab the Q3 demo from http://www.bluesnews.com/files/idstuff/quake3/win32/q3ademo.shtml or http://www.quake3world.com/demo/ 2. Download and install GtkRadiant from http://www.qeradiant.com/gtkradiant.shtml (Make sure Q3 is installed properly before installing this) 3. Browse the Radiant tutorials at http://www.qeradiant.com/tutorials.shtml and http://www.gamedesign.net/tutorials/qeradiant/ Alot of people recommend GtkRadiant over the latest Q3Radiant because it is more up to date, constantly updated with new stuff, and a community supports it of course. Guest ZeroXcape
In the past, a small amount of JK editing and a pretty decent amount of Half-life editing is all I've done. I picked up GTKRadiant a week or so ago and started fooling around with it. I must say, I'm used to good old Worldcraft. Hopefully when SOFII is released, Raven releases something new. Ki-Adi-Mundi
Even though I'm a huge star trek fan, I don't like Elite Force. I downloaded GtkRadiant v2.0 today. I must say, it's much better than Q3Radiant 202 or whatever version it is. In my opinion anyway. It has more features, runs faster, and it compiles much faster, at least on my computer. As for the program itself, its much cooler than the standard Q3Radiant plus theres a Linux port which makes all the penguin lovers out there happy
