Guest Boba Rhett Posted June 16, 2001 Posted June 16, 2001 I just picked up mine and let me tell you, I was exspecting something pretty cool but this thing blew me away! I got thps2 and fx zero for it and both games are great. Especially thps2. It's not a side scroller like the gb version and the levels are very much like the pc versions. Both of the games I got look better then snes games and the colors are amazing. GBA also can double for controllers for Gamecube. Game quality: 9 Design: 9.5 Colors: 9.9 Game size: 9.2 The only complaint I have right now is that you need direct light to see the screen. And that my hands are way to big to hold it correctly but that's not their fault.
Guest Sherack Nhar Posted June 16, 2001 Posted June 16, 2001 GBA can't act as a Gamecube controller. There is compatibility features between the two, but it's not a controller. Example for compatibility (just assumptions): Perfect Dark 2 for GC could use GBA compatibility to make the radar show up on the GBA screen instead of clogging up the split screen in multiplayer games. Think of it as the VMU for the Gamecube, without the save/load feature.
Guest digl Posted June 16, 2001 Posted June 16, 2001 By the times Its available here Itll probably be way too expensive to get it
Guest Boba Rhett Posted June 16, 2001 Posted June 16, 2001 But it says right on the box, On specially designed games, Game Boy Advance can be connected directly to the Nintendo GameCube for use as an additional screen and controller. It even has a picture of it being used as the controller. [ June 15, 2001: Message edited by: Boba Rhett ]
bsbuckeye21 Posted June 16, 2001 Posted June 16, 2001 Sherack Nhar, where have you been? I've seen this brought up in articles plenty of times, and Nintendo wouldn't exactly put that thing on the box if it wasn't true. (That is a good idea with Perfect Dark, though. )
Darth Simpson Posted June 16, 2001 Posted June 16, 2001 Yep, I'll pick up a GBA as soon as possible. The thing looks amazing. Can't wait for a Zelda GBA!
matt-- Posted June 16, 2001 Posted June 16, 2001 It does both. Special features(radar) and can function as a controller, according to nintendo power magazine.
Guest Boba Rhett Posted June 16, 2001 Posted June 16, 2001 What's got me really excited is the developement of fps's for gba.
