Guest Kudar
Well yesterday was the first time I've used the Bothan Spynet before attacking In a 1 v 1 I raced into quite a lead scorewise, we were playing on the precipice maps that only have 1 way across the river, my opponent concentrated on building walls and gates to stop me from sending troopers over early so I waited until tech 4 and my population limit was reached, I was rolling in resources and literally had an abundance of Nova so imagine my suprise to see that the cost to research the bothan spynet was only 3100 Nova, I just had to take it. My opponent had never seen or used it before and immediately thought I must be cheating when he got the message that the enemy was spying on him Quality stuff I was able to see everything, and to my suprise he was just sitting waiting to be attacked, so I did, rolled in the pummels and the Droidekas and was able to thwart any attempt he made at trying to recover, because I knew exactly where he was You gotta love that Spynet thing

Guest Kudar
It's 100 nova for each worker I believe and this guy only had 3100 workers, if he'd try to get it, it would have cost him 7100 or so cos I had 71 workers

Guest Kudar
Now what would be the point in that?
Emowilli
If you can ever afford it, GET IT! It is almost impossible to loose once you have it. It's 100 nova per enemy worker though, so it is almost always too expensive. Good players generally make 70+ villagers so you do the math. I check on it sometimes just to see how many enemy villagers I'm facing. Once you are winning the game you probably can afford it. Get it then to keep your enemy from being able to rebuild and make a comeback. Emo
StarWarsFanMan
If it's too expensive to afford, then send some fighters over to their base to take out stray workers and carbon collectors. That's my strategy!
Guest TarlSS
The ability to see what your opponent is doing and where he is is priceless. That way you can target whateer weakspots he has and destroy them. Also handy for finding those folks who always run away. Also, you can use it to check the state of his economy
darthfergie
I got it one time for 900 nova *lol* I don't like useing it though, it is a bit cheap...I wish there was a way to outlaw a tech in the skimish menu...
