Tie Guy Posted December 12, 2001 Posted December 12, 2001 i personally like DM better. RM has more micromanaging and resource gathering whereas DM is more action, which directly translates into more fun.

Once I get Xizor to remember to fortify his town like I think he actually does now, I think he is the best 1 on 1 dmer in the game.

Because most of the people who say that are hopeless in DM or they don't understand the difference between DM and RM. ******************For noobs only********************** In DM you must : Be as quick as possible to reach tech level 4 (if u begin at tech1 or below) In DM you have : Action action and action. Ok you're nervous and your fingers shake on the keyboard in typing your favorite hotkeys but what a great feeling when you win against good players !! Whereas in RM you just have to build a lot of workers (I wanted to say peons ) and manage your ressources with tact (unless you're suddenly attacked by a Lord Tirion who already maked 150 military units just to bother you **************************************************** By the way, is D.A.R.K trooper (his zonename)on this forum ? thx I'd like to talk to him.
duder Posted December 13, 2001 Posted December 13, 2001 im with leon on this one. i prefer to think of rts as patient strategy games...dm's seem to rip my theory to shreds!!! sure im not very good at them, but i have no interest in practising them as i just get bored and fast. basically: dm is for trigger happy ****s rm for patient intelligent gamers :D j/k no offence dmers
Heavyarms Posted December 13, 2001 Posted December 13, 2001 Actually, duder, patience is needed in a Dm too. In one match, I was the TF, and my opponent has tons of shielded grenade troopers. They kept wreaking havoc on my troops, so I just waited outside his base. Eventually, I as able to go ahead in it.

One asking you what was the best tf unit to rush with and one asking you what unit you prefered to rush with. Also duder thanks for your support and i'll be waiting for you at 16:00 forum time.
