It will be interesting to see how unique each race really is

I can understand giving them different bonuses such as the federation "no house" bonus or the Gungan underwater houses. My only fear is that the units from each civ will have the same statistics only different graphics. I have a feeling that one trooper from each race is no different than the other race, unless of course; they have been given a bonus or something. Still looking forward to more info.

No each team has different unit strengths. For instance, the Wookies have good troops, the Rebels have good air, and the gungans have good sea, so they aren't just the same with different graphics.

 

Also, underwater houses is not a bonus, that is simply a unique unit. A bonus is some sort of non-tangible advantage in a certain area over another civ.

 

I think that it should be something like this.

 

TF- No houses but gather wood 25% slower

Wookiees- Infantry HP +10 % tech level 1, HP+20% tl2, HP+30%tl3, and HP+40% tl4. Also, use more wood on buildings, but gather wood 15% faster.

Rebels- Air units +2 verse mechs. Air units +25% speed.

Imperials- +50% faith. Mechs +2 verse infantry.

Naboo- Construction cost -25%

Gungans- Harbors cost -33% Gather food 25% faster.

nice points.. in AOK, units looked alike but did have different stats.. For GB, i think you'll find a unit much more different simply because of it's looks. Some techs will be universel (better armor, etc), while others provide for real diversity (Jedi upgrades anyone ?)

 

It should be the most graphically accomplished game from Lucasarts in a long, long time..
