Guest Dr. Evil
What is it my internet, or my friends´ or the game MP just sucks?
Guest BountyHunter
There are so many variables for online MP. Your connection, your system, other peoples connections/location/ping. How many people are playing that one game. I've played some 2v2 n 1v1 MP games with people that all had ping rates in the green and I had almost no lag on a 56k connection. Compa_Mighty
It was you with the high pin Evil, when you were ejected from the game, everything was running smoothly. BTW, you left me alone, and I had to resign. :S

Guest Stan|SCN Punk
Yes, I noticed the slower internet as well.
Samuelc79
If you lag too much it can often indicate a person is using no CD patch.. because that is major reason cuz game needs cd to use music and several more than that... if you are playing 1 vs. 1 then that is no problem but if you are playing 2 players vs. 2 computer players with one cd in two computers, then it will lag. if you have two computers both having a cd, then game is smooth, me and my friend has tried this and it proved us no lag happened. So if there are too much lag and everyone had 3 green in multiplayer means possibility of someone using a no cd patch which is why it sucks. So its better own a real cd then play with someone who has a real cd then that is better gameplay here.
Influenza
I've noticed this game can lag horribly, even when the connection is solid and both players have fast computers. I occasionally play SWGB against my friend, and we very often run into horrid lag. I'm running an Athlon 1.3 GHz machine with 256 MB DDR RAM, and he has a Athlon 1.0 GHz computer with 256 MB PC133 RAM; so the problem isn't the computer. It isn't the connection, either; when we play modem-to-modem ping times never peak 150 ms, which is the best I've ever had on a modem for any game. We also play IP games when I'm at school on a T3, and ping times are still similar. We both own the game, installed the 1.1 patch, and use our CD's without a crack. So sometimes it's just the game being crappy. There seems to be one point in particular that the game slows down when playing against an AI: as soon as the AI hits Tech 2, the game gets unbearably slow for about 5 minutes. We call it the "Tech 2 Slowdown" (very original, eh?). It really sucks.
Zygomaticus
what do u mean by lag-is it like it takes the unit like 2-3 seconds to move after u told it to do something. if thats the problem then its probably the speed of the connection. i used to have that prob when i had 56k but its alright when u have a faster connection
Influenza
No, the latency is ok. I mean the game crawls. Nothing is steady; moving the mouse makes it jump all over the screen, the sounds get choppy, etc etc.
