QueZTone
Ok im desperatly looking for ships (XWING!) from StarWars as a display statue, simular to the X-Wing Collectors Lego set. Though I'd like to have one in some other material. Made to be used as display primarly. Are there any such statues on the market? Thanks
JiveMonkey
What kinda size are you talking here? Like model scale size?
raVen_image
If you are a model-maker, you can search for AMT model kits, like this one: http://au.store.yahoo.com/peedeetoys/21868.html their index of Star Wars Model Kits is weak, but they have a couple here: http://au.store.yahoo.com/peedeetoys/hobbies-plastic-model-kits.html I built many of their models for Star Wars and they're brilliant. Great detail and lots of pieces. The Millenium Falcon had over 150 pieces---painting and assembly took me over a month. It's 18 inches long. It's the best model-kit I ever owned. The X-Wing, Vader's TIE, Sandard TIE, and Y-Wing were made to scale with each other. (about 7-10 inches long) The scales of the other AMT models differed, but if I remember, they also made: The Tideriun shuttle, The speeder bike (with pilot), C-3PO, R2D2, The ATAT, The ATST, The Star Destroyer, ...and probably more. They had a Snap-Tite series that included: A-Wing B-Wing TIE Interceptor all of these were about 4-6 inches long (to scale with their Millenium Falcon Model Kit). If this is what you're looking for...Happy Hunting more links: http://www.hillcity-comics.com/models/amt.htm#Star%20Wars%20Model%20Kits http://www.cool-sf.co.uk/starwars.htm http://www.levalet.com/FRACAT/AMTERTLP.HTM
QueZTone
thanks for the info raVen! Looks great all. Guess this is the best solution. Though are there also models like these that you don't have to assemble and paint? Like models out of some kind of plastic that are already put together hehe. That are 'one' piece in a box
Schmatz
You mean almost like carved statues or something... I can't really explain it either, but they usually aren't plastic and are painted, but they cost a lot and are hard to find. Best bet is to look on eBay
