Rogue-for-Higher
I was playing jane's Fighters Antholgy, and I went up agenst 3 MIG-29s. I took one out with an AMRAAM. The second I killed with a AIM-9m. The 3rd however had some moves. I was stuck in a turning fight and went up to about 40000ft with afterburners, the mig ran out of fuel... my f-14 didnt. Rogue-for-Higher
Some thing like this happened again. I was in a F/A-18 in route to distroy a Iraqi SCUD missile site when I ran in to a par of Mirage F1s. I took the 1st one out with a AIM-9M Sidewinder. I tryed to manuver behind the second one when a saw that another jet had a radar lock. I ordered my wing man to cover me. It turned out that two MIG-25s had joined the party. I got off a gun shot at the F1 but he wen't verticle and I did'nt have the fuel to chace him up there, after all I was about 250 nm from the carrier and that was on just the trip to the target. The F1 preformed a loop and was on my 6. I aimed for the deck and the F1 ran out of gas! I moved in to help my wing man who was taking fire from the MIGs, I took one down with a AIM-7E Sparrow and moved in on the second MIG who I took down with my M61 cannon. I proceed to the target and doged about 3 SA-9s. I wiped out the two SCUD lauchers with a par 2000lb Paveways. I returned to the carrier and successfuly landed, however my wingman ran out of gas on the line up. I guess he burned up too much fuel when he held off those MIGs. But he was able to eject and was probaly rescued by the near by SAR helo.
