Madd Dawg- Posted January 10, 2002 Share Posted January 10, 2002 Hey guys, A friend of mine has a net gear router and he has opened all the ports so now I can see the game but I cannot connect to it. I keep hereing about putting my IP address inside the "DMZ" so I can get through his firewall. What is the DMZ and where and how does he put my IP in??? matt-- Posted January 12, 2002 Share Posted January 12, 2002 Actually, your friend has to put himself in the DMZ of his firewall. The firewall will block all incoming traffic unless the ports are forwarded or the host is in the DMZ.
