psycoglass
I just got the new PCGamer and there is a ad for JK2 in the mag and it says the release date is in March, which is incredible because the game was barely staarted early last year. OnlyOneCanoli
That's nice to know. I was thinking more like April or May, but March is good. Maybe we will be getting a demo sooner than later after all. But I hope this isn't a case like Tribes 2... releasing it the last day in March just so they can say they got it out in Q1 2002, but not having a complete product. But I have faith in Raven. But it really isn't too amazing because they had the engine already and they know it like the back of their hands. But it's still awesome that they can get a great game out in such a short amount of time. BTW, is this ad new? Becuase I've never seen it or heard of it. Obi Kwan
Any chance we could get a scan of this ad? I dont think that Pc Gamer would have a problem with it and it would be free advertising for Lucas arts (not that any of us need to be sold on this game!) Roger
Is it an official LucasArts ad or a retailer ad?
TrUeFoRcE
if you check most sites with info about jk2, it has a march release date, for example i think http://www.ebworld.com has it schedules for march (type outcast in the search engine and it should come up with the date it ships out)
OnlyOneCanoli
True, but it means a lot more to me personally if there is an actual ad made by LEC with the release month in it. Just seems more official.
StephenG
This that the Jed OUtcast box? http://www.ebgames.com/ebx/categories/products/product.asp?pf_id=214819&mscssid=HQ0KLTXXTXLW9MEL5FE3U1378G7F1K10&ref=1&PromoCode=&site=&siteID= i think it looks really good, i hope its the box. Lord_FinnSon
Yeah, cool looking box: simple and yet mysterious enough. Poster of RotJ with raised lightsaber comes to mind.
Obi Kwan
I was thinking that on the day it is released, id stop by the local EB or Babbages and pick the game up. How has your experiences been with preordering off of the internet? I know with some cds, it has taken a few days until it comes (after the official release) What do you think? Roger
Yeah I just saw that too, while I was looking for good deals. At Amazon you can get Jedi Knight II with a free copy of Jedi Knight... Gave you a credit for the find at my site...

That's a great looking box. I usually trash the boxes, but if that's the box I might frame it and hang it on my wall.

OnlyOneCanoli
I really loved the JK box art. I remember it sticking out to me when I still didn't have a PC but was looking through the PC games section. I like that box art, very nice. Oh, about the pre-order thing. I've pre-ordered from LEC before. I wasn't pleased. I got the game (FoCom) about three or four days after it was in Best Buy. I haven't pre-ordered a game from anywhere since. Most likely, I will just skip school that day, and hang around my local EBX until they get it in.

OnlyOneCanoli
My summary of school = Anyway, I might not skip the whole day, maybe just the last class (which is either cooking or Sign Language, both of which are beyond boring and pathetic). OnlyOneCanoli
I keep all of them too. Not sure why I do, but I have two massive boxes in my bedroom packed with them, the jewel cases, and the manuals. I'm such a geek.

SlowbieOne
I like that box a lot too. Very solid looking. However, I believe that tiny writing across the front says Jedi Knight 2: Jedi Outcast. I would think they would make the title more visible. It doesn't matter to me, but I'm just saying that from a business standpoint. I honestly wouldn't care if they didn't even put a name on the box. I usually use mine for toilet paper. Or to line the bird cage. Ya see, I'm a man and men don't like directions. It's to close to being told what to do. Locoman
The FAQ on lucasarts.com also says the game is slated for release March 2002.
