I don't think that a Jedi would just throw away his lightsaber, but from what I know they are acknowlaging the events of MotS, and the last thing Kyle wants to be is a Jedi. He wanted to put himself as far away from it as possible. If that meant destroying the lightsaber, then so be it. But seeing how it was the lightsaber that had been Yun's, I'm thinking that he gave it to Luke to let him do as he would with it, as opposed to just chucking it out into space or toward a sun. I haven't a clue what Luke would've done with it.

As for the training rooms, I'm seeing them as integrated into the plot, not separate, as I think someone mentioned. I like the idea of having some time to warm up to the Force powers before jumping into combat with them.

Perhaps the Jedi Training will not be at the start of the game. Maybe we'll be going round, doing this rebel spotting work for the first couple of missions, then something will happen, and we'll be called to the academy.

Well, we DO have to rely on our wits and weapons to get through those "first couple of levels" like IGN preview confirmed. So you see, also the beginning of JK2 will be very similar to that one in JK, where you get used to controls and weapons during first three levels, after which you finally start to "fill up" of Force power. :)

Yeah I'm excited about having to go without force and lightsaber for a while. That makes the plot seem more real I think. I wonder if there will be a cutscene where Kyle rediscovers his Force powers. That would definitely make a good transition from levels without Force to levels with.

It looks like the JKO storyline is going to be alot smoother than JK, but retain all the cool elements. (Like getting your lightsaber a few levels past the first one :D) I for one am also very glad that you won't have to worry about "Force Stars" anymore. One of the lamest things in JK sp was having to find all the secret areas to get the maximum amount of stars. As if that had ANYTHING at ALL to do with your Force development!! Plus it spoiled the fun and the suspension of disbelief (at least for perfectionists like me who had to find EVERY secret area no matter WHAT because we wanted all the Force power we could get :D)

I'm guessing it will be dependant on reaching a certain point in the game. It's alot better than having to find secrets to gain force (as if Jedi could raise their Force level from finding secrets anyway:)).

It was cool to have the option of going Light or Dark in JK, but I think it will be even better this time because we can have the best of two worlds at the same time.

I would be somwhat surprised if there wasn't SOME kind of customizability (is that a word?). It seems...well....kind of blah to have everyone exactly the same all the way through the single player. Yes, I know it doesn't really matter, but I want to be able to ignore Force Boogerfling and put that experience into Force Beatemall if I want to.

It's funny that Luke should have all this power over Kyle. It never talked about them meeting except that Mara was Luke's student before she was Kyle's. Now it seems like Luke says "make me some chili" and Kyle says "Yes, master." I thought he was trying to get away from being a Jedi, right? Wouldn't that mean if Luke says "I need you!" Kyle would say "handle it. I'm going skiing."

Well at the start of the game he's not. In the latest NRI report kyle says to get Luke to handle all the force related stuff. he obviously doesn't have much to do with Jedi-ism.....

It's not until he goes back to the jedi academy after mission 2 that he goes under luke's wing.

But making the force power acquiring linear will make for extreme awesomeness in SP levels...I say having the force star system in multiplayer is enough for me :D

Well Moses, from what I get from what has been revealed of the plot line so far is that a new threat pops up out of nowhere

( --BOO! AHHHHH!-- )

which closely is involved Kyle's past. Kyle, being the curious and heroic dude he has become, will realize that he must reclaim his Jedi powers and probe into his past, saving the galaxy at the same time. What better place to go then Luke, who is a professional Jedi teacher, and to whom Kyle has entrusted his saber, and become taught the traditional way this time. :D
