1 or 2 Death Stars in The Trilogy?

Okay people. I can't believe some of you think that the Death Star in ROTJ is the same one from ANH. Thats crazy! Its totally different! Its bigger, more powerful, is orbiting Endor! You don't see Endor in ANH do you? This shouldn't even be a debate. I posted this here because argument was in the Valley, and it is somewhat related to JO in that there is a Death Star level.

Within three years of the Death Star's demise, the Galactic Empire again proved its evil nature with the construction of a second Death Star in a remote region of space. Fortunately for the galaxy, the Empire never completed this monstrosity.

the above gotten from http://www.starwars.com/databank/location/deathstarii/index.html

there. the :deathstar was destroyed, and the :deathii: was constructed from scratch.

also, :deathstar was exactly 120 km in diameter, while :deathii: was 160 km in diameter. Happy?

We have to keep in mind that Gamespy could have made a mistake. If Raven confirmed a Death Star level, you can bet your arse it'd be on the front page of J2.net. Gamespy could have made a huge mistake in interpreting the levels.. after all, not everyone is geeky about star wars as us! :)

So unless Raven has access to Lucas's scripts for episodes 7-9, we dont really know if JO will follow the trilogy or not. I hope it does, and if there IS a third death star, and Kyle has anything to do with its destruction, he should be appearing in the episode in which this 'third Death Star' appears. That would be ultimate cool ;)

They tried to build a :deathstar super laser and called it Darksaber.

Hmmmmmmmm death star level.............. Isn't the Maw installation destroyed sometime during the X-Wing series of books, this would make creating another Death Star near impossible.

Don't u just h8 symantics :)

In Lucas' original story the Death Star did not get destroyed in ANH. But because he thought Star Wars was going to be one film only (no one would care about it and he wouldn't make a sequel), he had to have a conclusion.

The original story had both Death Stars above Endor.

Maybe that's where some of the confusion comes from.
