Max's secrets in Jedi Knight

In Jedi Knight, in Barons Hed (fifth level), there's a closed door. If you keep trying to open it for a long time, a woman will come and let you in. Inside, there's Max, from Sam&Max, and you can have fun!!!And in level nine, when you jump to the cargo ship, if you get to see the station, there are some max faces there, hehehe.

Actually, in Barons Hed, you can follow the woman as she wanders around. When you pass through that building just after entering the city proper, as you're coming down the stairs, keep your ears peeled for the sound of a door sliding open and closed. Sprint toward the "House of Max" (this works better if you have the AI disabled), and as you come around the corner, you can just see the girl darting over the bridge. Keep up with her as she runs errands, and stay on her skirt-tail as she goes back in.

Step over to Max and wake him with *space*, then open the door and let him out.

He'll wander around the town attacking bad guys first, but he'll start indiscriminately shooting civillians. Fair warning, once you get him started, he's almost impossible to stop. If you attack him, he'll cheerfully try to blow you away. His blaster is super powered, and he has something like 100HP --this guy could give Jerec a run for his money.

He's fun for carnage, but if you're trying for Jedi status, it's better to leave him peacefully dozing.

After you wake him up, he should make a beeline for the door, but you'll have to open it for him. You may also have to shove him over the bridge too.

Once he's moving around, if you can catch up to him, you can activate the "Max-cam." You can't control Max's movements, and the cam only lasts for a few minutes, but it's enough to get a new look at some areas.

After you turn him loose, you have to wait awhile; he does tend to be a little slow on his attacks. Generally, he's only useful to add to the general carnage, he's not much of a planner.

Every time I use him, he ends up trapped in that little shop where the Rebel sympathizer's guarding a weapons caché. When he can't get out, he ends up shooting the shopkeeper. That's probably why I don't like him.
