Jeedii_zaarinn Posted February 11, 2002 Posted February 11, 2002 i have another question??? whe u throw ur lightsaber at the person will it cut that person in half?? i.e.: ny saber is thrown at a stormie and his bodie is cut in half
SlowbieOne Posted February 11, 2002 Posted February 11, 2002 That is unknown at this time, I really dont think so though. In case you didn't already know, you can definately chops off arms and legs.
Silent Wolf Posted February 11, 2002 Posted February 11, 2002 i dont think youll be able to cut people in half. My friend and i were talking about this yesterday. I dont get it...what happens if you throw a light saber thru someone. i mean really it should GO THRU them. Instead of knocking them back..but whatever ill still love this game
JPMaximilian Posted February 11, 2002 Posted February 11, 2002 Yeah, a saber would never knock you back, it would just slice right through you.
Silent_One Posted February 11, 2002 Posted February 11, 2002 Why do you want to cut someone in half? Aren't limbs enough? NO? I didn't think so...
TUS_Tomcat Posted February 11, 2002 Posted February 11, 2002 he'll die thats a fact, but probably just fall down, not get sliced in half Methinks we need to convert the JO files to SOF2 when it comes out
Jeedii_zaarinn Posted February 12, 2002 Author Posted February 12, 2002 some issues to address 1) uhoh!!!!! as long as jp maximillain (sorry if i spelled ur name wrong) is here with his pet, we are hopeless, especially me because im one of the best jedi
Jeedii_zaarinn Posted February 12, 2002 Author Posted February 12, 2002 2) it would be neat if the person was cut in half, but i would be happy if u cut off limbs also it would be neat if u could cut off heads
TrUeFoRcE Posted February 12, 2002 Posted February 12, 2002 i think that the cutting up of people will be fairly minimal in JO, probably limbs would be cut off as often as they did in jk, i think that they used ghoul 2 for its many other features in JO for example did u see in the video when that guy gets shot with the sniper riffle, and it looks like he desiningrates from the point he is hit outward? ide say that ghoul2 had a big part in that very cool effect....
simon says Posted February 12, 2002 Posted February 12, 2002 I don't know about slicing ppl in half, if there is no blood, how is that going to work? It won't look right, to get sliced in half and not bleed at all.
Dan12R Posted February 12, 2002 Posted February 12, 2002 Does it really matter? I can definately tell that we are getting bored because this is a trivial topic. But that's ok, it's not like we have anything important to talk about until JO comes out.
simon says Posted February 12, 2002 Posted February 12, 2002 it dosen't really matter, but we need SOMEthing to talk about, right?

simon says Posted February 12, 2002 Posted February 12, 2002 True, but we didn't really see what happened, did we? there was no huge spray or something, and it wasn't a game-engine made movie (whatever you call thoes), which changes what lucas arts can put into the cutscenes IMO
digl Posted February 12, 2002 Posted February 12, 2002 But Maul did bleed when he was cut in half Ep 1 is a better source than JK
xwing guy Posted February 12, 2002 Posted February 12, 2002 When you're cut by a lightsaber you won't bleed because the heat from the blade will carutrize the wound so the hole would be sealed off.
Belgirion Posted February 12, 2002 Posted February 12, 2002 sigh, wish there were live action cutscenes with actors like in JK. Although with the good graphics I suppose It'll be alright lol I'm gonna go watch the bad acting in JK now

dazilla Posted February 12, 2002 Posted February 12, 2002 digl, that's just the blood boiling temporarily...right after that, the wound gets cauterized and no bleeding should go (except for that part in ANH when Obi cuts off that guy's arm.
digl Posted February 12, 2002 Posted February 12, 2002 Sure, but there is some blood anyway, and there is also blood in the cantina, so there is a bit of blood sometimes on LS cuts
lonepadawan Posted February 12, 2002 Posted February 12, 2002 It would be nice to see people cut in half but doubt we will see it.Most probably because it would be a little to difficult for them to implement?
Keiran Halcyon Posted February 12, 2002 Posted February 12, 2002 Darth Maul bleeds, thats ok, but only a little like boiling blood, before the wound is cauterized. We do not see him bleeding when he falls (or his guts going off out his body) Qui-gon doesnt bleed either (i think that a little blod is seen in the wound when D Maul retires his weapon) I know that ponda Baba arm bleeds (but it could be that he is not human)
Guest Obi Posted February 12, 2002 Posted February 12, 2002 <font color=cbcbff> It actually looks to me like that's just Maul's lightsaber glowing. Blood doesn't glow. Even jedi blood. Atleast I've never heard of such a thing. - If the blood was boiling, it wouldn't be red steam, it would be white steam. -If the blood was spraying, it would actually be hitting his clothes and face. It is clearly not. -And of course, as I've already stated, it wouldn't be glowing like that. I never assumed that was blood, and I've watched the movie more times than I care to admit.
