Grannen
Congratulations to Australias first gold medal ever in a Winter Olympic Game! Steven Bradbury was fantastic and if I had participated I’m sure I could have won the silver!
COJ
Congratulations to Canada for winning in the figue skating competition, cuz of that cheating french judge...
MtBlanc
In my opinion, Steven Bradbury was much less than fantastic. He advanced to the finals as a result of a crash, and won the gold as a result of a crash. In the semis, he was second to last, in the finals, he was last. While I'm aware it takes great merit to get into the Olympics, Bradbury is certainly one of the luckiest Olympians ever.

Al-back from the BigWhoop
if i was half as lucy as that guy, i woiuld throw cheese in a bowl of water, and it would turn into gold! But hey, in love, war, and international matters, everything is fair!
Natty
Maybe the other skaters shouldn't have been so clumsy But yeah, I do agree to some extent, he was lucky, I don't know about the semi finals, but obviously, those who were in the lead in the final have a right to be upset, coz I think the French (?) were demanding the race be replayed since everyone crashed, but I guess the rules state it can't be replayed, but either way someone is bound to be a winner or loser in that case, and it just so happened, Australia ended up being the winner given the circumstances
Angel_Eyes
Bradbury was *so* flukey! I wish I had that ammount of luck
Lemon Head
sure, he was lucky but that makes the story even better!! it was the best thing i've heard for ages and if those other guys had any skill they wouldn't have buckled. at least Bradbury could stay on his too feet. What i say is: Fair play to Australia!

MtBlanc
If they had any skill they wouldn't have buckled?! The Chinese racer and the Korean racer pulled down everyone else! Apollo should have won. He earned it.
Natty
I still havent seen the race, although I did see our arial skiier win yesterday morning, she's sooooo kyooote Apperantly Bradbry already has his face on a stamp, actually I dunno if that was a joke or not. Is anyone getting the Aussie comedians Roy and HG during the Olympics? They're hilarious, anyways, they're at the Olympics and they give a somewhat 'different' view on all the action and they said that the stamp has already been printed and they showed the stamp The skiier is gonna have a parade in Melbourne when she gets home- knowing me I'll probably be at school. Don't forget, Australia very little snow, only in the very high mountians, which only little towns are up there, unlike many American or European countries where they can get snow in major cities, so this is a big deal for us given the circumstances with our snow. Natty
Maybe the other skaters shouldn't have gotten in the way of the Korean and Chinese skater? If anything was a ripoff it was the joint gold medal with Canada and Russia, over the points swapping. Can someone clarify why Russia got to keep their medal, even though they had the deal going with France over the points? Hardly seems fair that Russia got to keep their gold
hockeyfreak0888
My congrats to Steven Bradbury, watched the race when stupid CBC coverage wasn't showing the hockey game and doing replays and chats and replays of wipe outs of speed skating.... I don't mind watching speed skating, but if it's finished, switch back to live coverage of something else for a minute! Split the screen or something. *~*Gah!*~* Oh well, CANADIAN WOMEN WON! WOO HOO! I've met 3 of the players-American Sue Merz and Canadians Jayna Hefford (GAME WINNER!) and Lori Dupuis. All right! Steve Bradbury, I give my congrats, but he was horrible. Until the crash, he was about 15 metres behind and was heading for a lousy fifth while the others were close together. Then one of the Oriental skaters pulled ebveryone else down, Ono slid across in second and the Canadian ( ) came in third, should've got second but was in such a rush to get back and pull ahead of Bradbury that he fell again and slid for third. Bradbury was in shock, you'll see that he glided the last 10 meters, didn't even skate quickly, I could've beat him in my hockey skates, and I could've stayed standing! That guy is ssssllllllloooooooooowww. Sweden had a good men's hockey team, but they lost to who? Belarus wasn't it? What? I'm a proud Sens fan, sux that Alfie et all are out, chearing for Canada all the way. My choice for second WAS the Russian team, they're great but they're a bunch of whiners. (Don Cherry IS right, though mildly racist, just the officials, not the population as a whole) Sweden was my bronze choice, but they're out, so I'll say Finland or the States and maybe Russia if they don't pull out behind Canada. That's my rant for today! (Ranting is fun, especially on Neopets)
