JediDante
Well in the UK trailer it does not really look like it's auto blocking! To me it looks like TPM game, if you watch the trailer you will see it really does not look like JKs blocking, it looks much much better!
CaptainRAVE
Yea, the blocking looks awsome and is greatly helped by the fact that this lightsaber is actually active in the environment. Its going to be so much fun with the lightsaber this time around
The Bothan Spy
I thought that it's already been confirmed that the blocking will work in exactly the same way as J.K??
CaptainRAVE
It will, but the system has been improved alot, so it functions and looks much better. BTW, Welcome to the forums The Bothan Spy

CaptainRAVE
Auto-block is one of the passive force powers that you cant use, but works for you automatically.

Agen
No i said it looks like you can, notice how the saber goes up as if to block and then it goes down again? maybew this is force sense.
Executor32
He was probably referring to how you can block an enemy's saber attacks with your own. It might work with blaster bolts, but we probably won't find that out until the end of March.

Naphtali
The auto blocking in JK and mots wasn't bad, but as we all know the animation was too stiff, and all you had to do was keep the saber lined up with the persons head to block everything. yes its auto blocking but you still have to get move the sbaer to perform the block so its really 50/50 with the control. Guest Obi
<font color=cbcbff> I really liked the way blocking worked in Star Wars: Obi-Wan on the Xbox. The entire game sucked kinda bad, but the blocking (if you have not played it) is pretty good. Though in JK the collision detection would improve this dramatically, the Obi-Wan game uses a manual/autoblock feature. So far, we know that JK II uses autoblocking, but one thing that Obi-Wan did was add a little bit of skill to it by giving you the manual block option. When you used manual block, it would consume some force power, but accurately return the blaster fire to it's sender. I thought it made fighting deeper because there was actually input to block things, rather than only being able to attack and having to rely on the game to block for you.
