So does anyone here do any case mods? I was thinking about adding a fan to my door on my new Cheiftec to blow across my vid card. It looks fairly easy as long as you take your time and not rush it. I would also like to get a sweet little fan grill. maybe something like this.http://2cooltek.safeshopper.com/52/214.htm?955 or one of these http://www.plycon.com/custgrill.htm

Anyone?.......

i also am broke, but seeing that the side of my case is rarely on even to begin with, i doubt a fan would help cool it that much... my roomate is full of hot air, so he creates quite a wind across the board... :D

I ordered a 120mm fan, a grill with an atomic sign ( in red) and a red mesh grill.. I just hope everything goes ok with the hacking. :)

When I used to O/C the wifes eleron 466 I had the side off and an 8 inch oscilating fan blowing over it..:D It was ghetto..

I showed the wife my fan and grill and what not I ordered and what it wil look like and when she saw some pictures of some cases with plexiglass windows she asked me why I just don't do that and then put a fan in the window....

And here I was thinking she was going to call me a retard for cutting it up to put in a fan.

Better go order me some window kits.....

Anyone remembers that thread with a link to some really amazing cases?

I'm not sure it was posted on this forums

I think the pics were from Quakecon

A chance to show off a nice case is always a good excuse to start postin. ;) Welcome to the forums.

You did a nice job, btw. Expensive to mod a Lian-Li, but at least you didn't use a cooler master. Baybus, too. And I assume you stealthed a few of those drives.

I don't overclock, so I don't think I'll ever have much use for a Baybus or something of that sort. But I suppose case modding is often about asthetics, not just performance.

I wouldn't mind a nice window and some cold cathodes in up in my PC, but I'd rather put the money into performance, since I am short on dough.

yeah the case itself cost me $500 without the addons and the fans are pretty quiet because i have full control of the speed of them and so forth :p
