I must say Jedi Starfighter is excellent, it did what i thought it couldn't do and that is surpass the PC X wing series, actually it was done with the original, however Jedi starfighter is far better.

Graphics

First the graphics are much cleaner and sharper than the first, from the CG cutscenes to Count Doukos hollogram conversation with captain toth is excellently done.

Sound

The sound is awsome from the blaster fire, collisions with the ship, voiceovers aree also well done, allthough mace windu was a little to deep, Adi Gallia was greats along with the original cast.

Suprisingly they also had some music from episode 2 which was a nice addittion, however the interviews as well as my ears confirmed this. The episode 2 music is great.

Story/concept

The concept is deep but simple you must go to the confrax system to aid Nym(pirate from the original starfighter) agains't captain Toth, a greedy power hungry captan who is joined in the seperatist movement of Count Dokou. His illegal bussiness in the Confrax system attracts the attention of the jedi council, when Mace sends you to find out what this threat is and put an end to it. Along with the trade federation who has serverly upgraded their droids, captain Toth has also developed new weapons which would mean easy victory in the clones war for the seperatist(trade federation, Captain toth, various) along with Count Dokou

Gameplay/atmosphere

The gameplay is awsome, the feeling of star wars is their it consumes you at times, their is no framrate problem no matter how many things happen, the game is smooth. Great Variety of ships to attack, also different objectives on larger cruisers take out the turrents etc, you must protect your wing mates, and aid them and also tell them when to attack in key moments. Also you will have to protect your clones so they can infiltrate the federations core in one mission

Overall the bonuses you gain will keep you very bussy, and aid you in your battle.

Control

The control is brilliant, the directional buttons control secondary weapons or in Adis case force powers. All force powers are very useful from the reflex to dodge in time, or shielding yourself from laser fire, you can also use your lighting on nearby fighters.

Each ship is different Nyms is more powerful but slower, Adis Jedi Starfighter is great, however you must use the force because as fast, and manuverable as it is, it has weak shields so you must shapren your skills on it.

Swicthing to commanding teammates to weapons or the force is a breeze, all controls are comfortable and appropiate for the pace of the game(which many thought was impossible compared to PC X wing titles)

Jedi Starfighter

10/10 in my book

[edit -digl - Added spoiler tag for storyline.]

I still prefer X-Wing (and Tie Fighter, X-Wing Alliance)... more hands on, you have far more control over things like shields, weapons, engines... granted you have limited control over your wingmates, but I still prefer X-Wing and the sequels. Maybe it has to do with the fact I like the classic trilogy better, perhaps not... If they release a AotC style X-Wing game I may change my mind, but that has yet to happen.

I agree with Justus, I really prefer Xwing/Tie Fighter (TF was my fav BTW).

I played Rogue Squadron on GC and hated it. Great visuals and all, but I couldn't stand the controls, and complete lack of depth. I felt rather confined in comparison to the freedom of the Xwing series.
