Guest Mantascorp Posted November 16, 2001 Posted November 16, 2001 Greetings all... I have been digging GB since Wednesday, and aside from the horrible Pummel pathfinding, I am loving it. One question, though. Did my game install wrong or is there no in-game music? I kinda hate the silence except for when you click on a unit or building (and the really lame occasional "nature" sound). Didn't Star Wars have, like, a classic soundtrack? Where is it in the game besides before and after missions?? -Scorp
Young David Posted November 16, 2001 Posted November 16, 2001 Check if you can play normal audio CD's in your CD-Rom. (You need a seperate little cable from your CD-Rom to your adiou card for that) Check in windows if your CD volume is on
Guest dlayers Posted November 16, 2001 Posted November 16, 2001 One Obvious thing YD forgot to mention... Make sure you have your CD in the drive while playing...and make sure that it is the GAME CD not the INSTALL CD.
GB_StormTrooper Posted November 16, 2001 Posted November 16, 2001 if the INSTALL CD was in his drive when he started GB, he wouldnt be able to play a game at all. It would say somthing like To play, instert cd labled PLAY or somthin like that
Guest Tie Guy Posted November 17, 2001 Posted November 17, 2001 Yes, there is music in the game (thank goodnes), and it sounds great. Nothing like a little classic SW music to get you going during combat.
Guest TieSolo Posted November 17, 2001 Posted November 17, 2001 Man, I want to listen to that music while playing! I just can't get it working I have the play cd in, and I checked to make sure I have the cable from my sound card to the cd drive (and I checked all volume levels). It just won't play during missions! Aarrgh! -TieSolo
EndSub Posted November 17, 2001 Posted November 17, 2001 You guys forgot the most basics of basics..... Do you have CD-Music turned on in the options menu?
Dvlos Posted November 17, 2001 Posted November 17, 2001 also make sure your in-game music volume is up dude.
Guest TieSolo Posted November 17, 2001 Posted November 17, 2001 Hi, I made sure the volume for music is all the way up, still no luck.. EndSub...is there some option you are seeing that I am not? When i go to options from the main menu, there are three sliders for music volume, sound volume, and scroll speed. I see no option to turn CD music off or on. -TieSolo
General Nilaar Posted November 17, 2001 Posted November 17, 2001 The first game I played the first thing I said was "Where the hell is the music?!" I was disappointed for the rest of the day until I played a game someone else was hosting and then suddenly there was the music! I couldn't figure it out until I turned up the IN GAME music volume in the options menu. All of a sudden it worked. The bar was at the half way point so I figured it was fine. But nope, it needed to be turned all the way up. It sounds great! Duel of the Fates, the Imperial March, the Emperors theme from RotJ, and plenty more:)
chrisw_30 Posted November 17, 2001 Posted November 17, 2001 When youre playing does it actually play a whole song track through or play different songs like a medley?
Guest TieSolo Posted November 17, 2001 Posted November 17, 2001 OK, not to be rude, but I got the point that the in game volume has to be all the way up...I posted that it is several times. Can anyone offer any OTHER suggestions as to why it might not be working? -TieSolo
Lord JayVizIon Posted November 18, 2001 Posted November 18, 2001 i hear you, i didn't even know there was in game music. i did all the things you did too and i'm still not hearing anything. can someone offer better advice on this matter?

Com Raven Posted November 18, 2001 Posted November 18, 2001 I suggest you try asking Gaber (though I expect him and the team to be on vacancie now) or asking LCE support ...
