virtualoctopus Posted November 18, 2001 Share Posted November 18, 2001 wouldnt it have been better if lucasarts had tried to get the red alert 2 engine instead of the aok one for galactic battlefrounds. looking back at my time playing aok, i tend to think that the faster pace of ra2 would have lent itselft better to the star wars genre.... They wanted the AoK engine only. 3. The Age of Empires series did a lot better than RA 2 in my opinion. So, that is probably why. People have said this in previous threads, and I am stating it again. Guest Tie Guy Posted November 18, 2001 Share Posted November 18, 2001 I absoutely agree, ra2 would have fit much better. for one, having all the different resources doesn't seem to fit into SW very well, and frankly is rather annoying. I am not a RA2 vet, but all my games I won by building masses of the same unit....I like how GB you have to have a nice spread to be succsesful. The graphics are grainy and lets face it, whos gonna want to "mine" the grass and have it magically turn into money for units when dumped into a building......come on now, Star Wars deserves alittle more respect that that dont you think?
