How are you using air units? I feel the addition of these units creates the biggest change from AoE so I am interested to hear your views.

Personally i have integrated thge Air units pretty much without issue. though i must admit at first i just sort of ignored both the Naval and Air Aspect of the game.but after almost being defeated by Naboo Air Harrasment i changed by tactics and find it a lot more fun now to play.

If you don't control the skies, you will have to watch in agony as armies get slaughtered without being able to fire a single shot in return.

I use air alot. In t3, a speedy fighter attack before they get aa is very effective. In t4 ,shielded air is awsome, especially bombers. Shielded bombers kick hard. They need support but they are very very usefull.

Personally I think power cores and shields add a lot more to the game tacticaly than air units. It does change a lot of tatics though. Walls don't make you invincible anymore (which is good because shield walls are WAY to tough) and you can't get away with just plugging up the choke points on a map. Also' you get AA troops at T2 and air units at T3 so if you rush someone with air units and they're ready for you you're dead. The only good air units are the ones that get shield modifications. If you don't get that tech you're just making expensive cannon fodder.

Agreed, I only use air if i am Naboo or rebels, otherwise they die all too easily.
