I'd like to see anyone top this system in ****tyness, I usually run somewhere between 10-20 fps while playing JK2

P3 450

Motherboard=I don't know, a PoS

32M PCI Radeon (You have no idea how horrible this is)

196M Ram

20 G Hardrive (If it matters)

Integrated Sound Card

Windows ME

15" Monitor

That's about everything that has to do with gaming, my cd drive doesn't effect how well my JK2 plays does it?

PhantomWarrior,

worse thing is...your system is well above the official system requirements. Which is rather insane don't you think judging from your experience. Didn't they call for a P350 and 16M video? lol

I realize the official minimum system requirements are just that...But seriously I think alot of people use that as a guideline stating "the game will run fine with this".

In my opinion they really really really need to come up with a second rating called "game will actually run with..." or "for medium performance run with". Basically tell us what we really need to run the game.

Here's my machine (built it myself, it's getting a little old though, might be time for an upgrade soon.) I'm a bit of a hardware geek. ;)

-Chieftec DX-01BD case w/ 300W PSU <-- these cases ROCK. They're the same as the Antec SX1030B, only without the PSU ('cause I already had an extra one.) :D

-1 Ghz Athlon Proc

-Abit KT7A mobo

-384 MB PC133 RAM

-Gainward Geforce3 ti200 (OC'd to a ti500)

-Turtle Beach Santa Cruz soundcard

-40 GB 7200RPM ATA100 HD

-8x DVD Drive (40x CD read speed)

-Logitech Optical WheelMouse (the shiney blue one)

Various other components that I don't feel like listing, because they don't pertain to JO, and I need to go to bed (CDRW, NIC, ect.)

bahaha, you guys got power houses comapared to this:

-P3 450 MHZ processor.

-16 Meg Riva TNT (Might be 2, not sure.)

-328 Megs of Ram (Might be my only saving grace)

-Cable connection

-ESS Solo Sound card

-Microsoft Intelli point mouse.

-A Keyboard that has "IBM" on the top left courner. Hell if I know what brand it is.

Yet... JK2 runs very decent on this machine. If you're having problems, turn the graphics to 16 bit and turn the model quelity down, two biggest drainers of FPS. (Yes, even though I can't spell I do know how a computer works, trust me.)

My main machine is this:

Athlon XP1900+

512Mb PC2100 DDR RAM

GeForce3Ti200 64Mb

60GB IDE (ATA 100) HD

SBLIVE!

WinXP

My old machine is this:

PentiumII400

128Mb PC100 SDRAM

GeForce2GTS 32Mb

~26GB HD

SBLIVE!player

Win98

I have installed JKII:JO on both machines. In fact, I get a much better framerate on the first one in 1024x768x32 with all the graphics options maximised than I get on the second in 640x480x16 with all the graphics options minimised!:D

Thats not too dissimilar to my machine :

PIII 500mhz

380ish Meg Ram

15" monitor (gonna change to 19" soon!!)

Soundblaster 128

about the same harddrive capacity....

my machine runs JKII awesome!! it only slowed down on the level with the first AT-ST's and the x-wings...alot was going on there so that was understandable. . . . .

My machine also runs MP well aswell! ...on a 56k modem, no slow down or lag when i can get on a good UK server!! ! ;)

PIII 800 Mhz

192 megs Ram

8 speed DVD-ROM drive

15 gig drive

16 meg TNT2 M64 vid card (crap)

wireless intellimouse Explorer (no performance hit)

onboard sound

DSL @ about 300-700 down, 120-200 up

only a few hiccups, so I am happy. It's my dad's business machine, so Eudroa is always running in the background, checking e-mail every 10 minutes.

I would like to get a better vid card for my dad's machine, but I'll save the money for later when I build my own computer.
