ps2maddenman
You're kidding right? If Jedi Knight 1 and Elite Force got one, the question is why would this superior game not get one too? btw I voted Yuuzhan Vong, that would be sweet having a race that the force won't affect. thrEEpaGe
i really doubt that jo will get an expansion pack...but i wouldnt be disappointed if i was wrong...(however i wouldnt play it much because by the time it came out i would be playing better games)
Trienco
definitely the vong. so we can have lightsaber fights without another irritating plot device to explain where all the dark jedi suddenly come from. on the other hand, not being able to use the force on them will remove another important aspect. only way to use it would be hurling stuff at them *g*. but as the jedi arent so popular with the population any more there can be enough 'normal' enemies like peace brigade. Creston
Oh no please... The Drow, sorry Yuuzhan Vong, with their Tentacle Rods, sorry, whatever staffs, with their creatures that create black holes, throw moons on planets and other ****.. Yes, please, by all means, let's have GAMES about them too. It's not enough that Salvatore has been allowed to ruin the Star Wars books (and as a reward, he got to write the Episode 2 book, FFS...), let's nuke the last remaining bastion of star wars coolness as well. 70-228
I wanna play a Sith whose ultimate goal is the assassination of Mon Mothma! Preferably will having a few nasty encounters with Luke, Kyle and any other Jedi scum that happen to get in my way!!! Yes I'm sick little boy

Fyunch Click
I have to admit I like the idea of the "TieFighter" style expansion where you play as a Sith. Talk about changing the game! Guess that'll have to be a TC for Singleplayer though. I really would like to smack whinebo..err..Luke around and kill him without cheating or having him be a multiplayer bot. Or maybe make The Mon Calamari into calamari rings. Failing that I would like to see it branch away from the Remnant and focus more on the Corporate Zone, Much like the old non-canon Han Solo novels. It would be a different enough setting I think to spice things up.
obijonkenobi
If we were to play as a Sith then we wouldn't fight luke or a major movie character as since we are the bad guys, we would end up killing our foe... And I don't think Lukes death would be a good thing... If you play the Sith aprentice... Make the final boss be... YOUR MASTER! You know how Vader was planning on getting Luke to the dark side then kill the Master (since Vader is technically Palpatines aprentice acording the Master-Aprentice Sith rule mentioned in Ep1 - "always two their are... a master and an aprentice") Of course this is only my not-very-thought-out idea so I would probably have a better idea later on if I continue giving it thought. Oh and one last thing... I am a major nerd for being able to quote Yoda...
70-228
Just cos you fight luke doesn't mean you have to kill, or even win. Same goes with other major characters. In fact the humiliation of losing a fight to Luke could be the motivation for turning really nasty. I like the "final boss is your master idea" that's very inkeeping with the SW universe. Funny thing is that I was only half serious about being a sith but the more I think about it the more fun it sounds. You really want to play Kyle in the expansion? You know all his powers and weaknesses. Better to leave Kyle to take the lead in JK3 than rehash him now Shame they let him have so many dark side powers though. Zek
I can't imagine another game/expansion with Kyle, seeing as he's yet again mastered the force and this time has no reason to give it up. Taking it away from him in the beginning of the game a 3rd time would just be stupid. If there is an expansion, it might be something like Kyle and Jan's kid. Playing a Dark Jedi would be cool, but it seems like it would be hard to have a singleplayer campaign for one(the enemy Jedi would be chasing you, not vice versa, and there won't be many interesting places to infiltrate or anything unless you're against the Imperials). Creston just too bad that salvatore isnt the one who created the whole yv outline for the njo and just wrote the chapter he was 'assigned' to. but i know something: why not have a game about huge stations the size of a moon that dont fall apart when moving and can blow apart whole planets or little wizards running around with laser swords that dont just touch each other but also reflect plasma bolts. i bet you wouldnt care if it would be a 'singularity generator' (after all nobody cares about interdictor cruisers) or mechanic corthosis whips than can get hard and block a light saber. sorry, but the 'lets have crystals that turn people into jedi' stuff is just as bad.. or how about corthosis suddenly resists light sabers instead of shorting them out? wepeel
There are so many cool ideas out there, but I want to see something more along the lines that go with the movies. It was always fun in Dark Forces, the first level, cause you felt like you were part of something bigger, you know? Helping to steal the death star plans is pretty cool, even though it may be EU(Expanded Universe) like this whole game is. It would be really really cool to have a game that dates back way before ep I, where there were tons of sith, and tons of jedi. That way it doesnt really conflict wiht the movies and actually makes sense your fighting real sith instead of dark jedi that keep popping up every once in a while. I found it really really fun in the game when you get to fight with luke, and the part where you fight with other jedi in the temple. I think it adds alot. The same holds true in obi-wan or jedi power battles. I really think they either need to make a coop part with a bunch of jedis goin in to fight sith or make the game with more jedi that have your back. Or even go back to the original df game and make it WITHOUT a lightsaber, at least maybe in single player. Make it more of a shooter, along the lines of like being boba fett or jango fett. It wouldnt be impossible to actually fight against jedi with those guys, since they are bad asses. I dont know there are so many cool ideas, but I really hope if they do(and I hope they do)make an expansion pack it not along the lines of Kyle fighting more dark jedi, or the imperial remnet for that matter. They could really do something cool along the lines of the Sith War or even the bounty hunter idea where you have to capture your prey and stuff.... Ohhhh, so the people at LucasArts totally RIPPED off Salvatore's work, then decided it might actually be a good idea to ask him to write the first part of this new series, since it was all his anyways? The Yuuzhan Vong, and their Tentacle Rods / whatever staffs, are a WORD FOR WORD rewrite of his Drow in his Dark Elf series. A writer who writes the first chapter in a new series always has some leeway in deciding what goes where, who does what etc. If it had all been outlined inch by inch, Salvatore would never have agreed to write it (why type out another man's scenario?). In fact, I really got the idea, when Stackpole and Luceno wrote the next two chapters in the series, they really had to struggle to overcome some of the more absurd ideas that Salvatore had created. Salvatore should NEVER have started writing science fiction, because he hasn't got the slightest clue of what is generally accepted within Sci fi, and what should be relegated to the realm of Fantasy. He turned star wars into fantasy, and a rather bad fantasy at that. FFS, do people actually read this New Jedi Order crap, and think "Cool, these staffs of theirs spit poison at people, then change into whips to whip people, THEN become so hard they can block lightsabers! This is sooooo cool!" Can we at least TRY to stay in a technological setting here please? Do you actually know the official difference between the two? The definition given by Orson Scott Card's "How to Write Science Fiction and Fantasy" is : When a story follows what are currently deemed as universal laws, it's science fiction. If it goes beyond that, it's fantasy. I will make an exception for the Force, as it was included in the movies, and it's hard to write books in the StarWars universe without including The Force. (which in a lot of people's opinions had more of a religious theme to it rather than a magical one.) I'm not saying that the JK series are devoid of any flaws, and yes, I had noticed the cortosis "error" as well. And I'd rather have a moon sized space station and an interdictor cruiser (what's wrong with either idea, I wonder?), then have creatures that can actually CREATE black holes at whim, AND pull on gravity fields that are a galaxial span away. Hey, an interdictor cruiser does so by powering up FOUR gravity generators. it takes them a long time to do so, and it's hardly fool proof. These creatures think, and pop, instant black hole. Need to destroy a planet? Put a creature on it, then have it draw the moon onto it. Hell, why stop at a moon? have it drop the damn SUN on the planet! Jedi Outcast still adheres to established Star Wars sci fi canon, as to what's possible and what's not. Yes, I thought the crystal thing was a bit farfetched, but then again, it DIDN'T work. They needed the power of the Valley of the Jedi before it worked. I better stop ranting, my blood pressure gets too high Creston

toolboi
Id say that it should be against sith, or against the Jedi council. It would be way cool to be going up against the council, talk about saber battles. In the other case it would be cool to be Tavion (maybe dressed a little more like a person and a little less like a Mardi Gras dancer) turning to the light and going back to destroy the remaining Dark Jedi. What I would like even more, though it will never happen, is to have a pack that has NOTHING TO DO WITH JO! Something completley new. Mind you, we all know what its going to be, its gonna be Kyle or Jan (god, please no) going up against Tavion. The Dullest of the dull...
matt--
I'd like an XP focusing on what would have happened if Kyle fell to the darkside. It could start with where you see Luke crushed under the pile of rubble...except he doesn't contact you your anger turns you to the darkside. Then, after Kyle leaves Jan behind, or kills her, and procedes to take the escape pod down to Yavin You switch over to playing as Luke, defending against all the Reborn invading. The final boss could be either Desann or Kyle...or both!
Patton
The Yhuuzan Vong would make GREAT enemies. Most of them use Amphistaffs, which would prompt some really great melle combat battles. Oh course there's thud bugs and stuff, but I would really like to fight Yuuzhan Vong, on Yuuzhan Vong worldships. All that organic stuff would make for some really spooky levels. farmerBob
i voted for "Someone else"... my idea rules so read it all! imagine this.... you're one of the jedi trainees (the pony-tailed one), standing guard over some captive shadow troopers and witness the end scene of JK2... (thus you are a newb force-user) Desann's spirit lingers on Yavin 4, and discovers a Massassi carbonite chamber containing several of the psychotic warriors deep in the bowels of an old Massassi temple. He releases one of the ancient warriors from its frozen sleep, and takes control of it. He then wakes up more of the Massassi warriors to continue his plan to destroy the Jedi Academy (*poof* instant Sith mini-army for you to fight). Luke sends you and several of your fellow trainees on a forraging/training mission in the Yavin 4 jungles. Your friends get captured by the Massassi when you stumble upon them doing something and you end up in a desperate race to save them. (thus, no help from Kyle or Luke) Along the way you could run into Desann's old Storm, Swamp, and Shadow Troopers that evaded capture and scattered into the wilds. There could be evil savage ewok cousins, speeder bikes, and whatever else you guys can think of. The best part, is that this idea flows from one story to the next, which is ideal for an expansion pack.

If you are looking for an xpac that immediately follows the storyline of the game (not like MotS, which takes place far removed from Jk1), then this is an excellent idea. It has a sound premise for providing a "lone" character with a variety of bad guys.
