FeldmanSkitzoid
Well, one of the admins deleted my post from the other board, so I guess I'll try to re-write it here. Though I don't know why they deleted it rather than just moving it. Anyway, I was wondering if anyone who is laser-pointer literate could tell me if there's a way to modify the lightsaber keychain (which comes with the Collector's Edition version of the game) so that it doesn't blink, and just stays on. Also, once that's achieved, I'd like to turn it into a laser pointer (but still have the option of attaching the blade), so the beam would have to be focused somehow, via lens or something. Anyone have any ideas about how I'd do this? Thanks. PS: Don't look into the light for too long!
Boba Rhett
You can't really turn it into a laser pointer. I imagine that it's an LED that is lighting up and not a Laser Diode. I also think that the flashing is caused by a flip-flop but I don't really know. So basically, your stuck with a pulsating flashlight. If you pull the saber part off, I suppose you could make a b!tchin lil' flashlight though.
FeldmanSkitzoid
Yea, I saw the little light bulb inside of it, but it's so bright I thought maybe I'd be able to focus it to a point with a certain lens...kinda like a magnifying glass when frying ants on the sidewalk. Then again, it would only come to a point at a certain distance, and it might even start what I'm pointing at on fire, and I don't want that! Or do I...? I'm not going to pull it apart though. Not that big of a deal. I was just hoping that maybe someone else had thought the same as I had, and had experimented on theirs, thus relieving me of having to potentially damage my own. He he he... Flashing or not, it's still cool as hell. I'm definitely bringing it with me on May 16th. By the way, did you know that you can easily screw the blade off? No, I'm not telling you to go screw off. Ha ha ha. Sorry, that was a terrible joke. I'm done now. Goodbye.
Sherack Nhar
I suppose the keychain uses a small battery to power itself. Since there is no apparent way to change the battery, does anyone know how long is it going to last until it dies out?

Frumpus
Battery cell life depends ENTIRELY on how much/often you use it, although an average battery will drain 5-8% per year even on the shelf - that's why they have expiry dates.
