Lightsaber

It's based on the crystal they use to construct it. Each crystal has a different "parabolic" value. The actual "light Blade" is a parabolic curve that starts and finishes at the hilt. So the blade goes out, does a u-turn and comes back at the hilt. So the light actually doesn't go out and then suddenly stop in the air. Here's what I don't know, why doesn't the hilt get melted whe the blade comes back?

So anyways, the blade length is determined by the crystal. The crystal will cause the blade to curve back to the hilt at a certain distance from the hilt. HTH

No problem, that's what we're here for...well...that and we have no lives! :D

Seriously though, if you have questions, ask. Don't be intimidated by the Newbie, n00b etc.. trash talk that gets thrown around here. ;)
