zaguria
Is a 40GB Matrox Viper ATA-133 7200rpm better than a 40GB Seagate Barracuda ATA IV 7200rpm or is there a better HDD I could get? All responces will be appreciated. I have a pentium 3 550 if that makes a difference. Thanks

Anox Kleevah
i dont think brands has somthing to do with quality whan it comes to HD's. Just check that its 7200rpm and things will (mostly) work fine.

Anox Kleevah
First, upgrade your computer! 500mhz wont last long man... 2ghz is soon the official standard so i would suggest u get a new mainbord and a new processor. Via is launching their new chipsets soon so prices on the old will drop, also the Athlon XP processor is getting cheaper and cheaper, so a upgrade should be affordable.
