Make your choice now, young Padawan.

Do you truly believe in only the Canon (Episodes 1 through 6, cinema or book versions), or do you trust in the stories of the non-Canon "Expanded Universe ('EU' - Books, Comics, Games and the like)".

Remember, our beloved Dark Forces series is a happy child of the expanded universe - Nar Shaddaa isn't a Canon location you know...

So. Canon or EU? The choice is yours alone...

Oh and in case you haven't guessed, my vote is for the Expanded uinverse, because of oh so many cool people and things. For example:

Boba Fett Lives!!! - all the Fetty Goodness :fett2:

Grand Admiral Thrawn :thrawn2:

Corran Horn

Soontir Fel :tie:

Mara Jade

Kyle Katarn (woo!) :saberb:

the TIE Defender :tied:

E-Wings

Eclipse Star Destroyer (look at the size of that thing!)

Nar Shaddaa (It may be a slimy mudhole, but I'm attached to it, especially the Dark Forces version... ahh... happy days).

The Dark Forces Series :dtrooper:

The X-Wing Games (XvT was a bit lame ut never mind) :x-wing:

...ok I could go on all day...

I have voted Canon but I do not believe Boba Fett is dead - There is no way of knowing unless the sequels are made.

I'm sure that the EU is cool - I haven't really bought into it (except to play the games) but surely anything that involves canon characters should be properly sanctioned and recognised as canon?

I personally go with If it doesn't contradict the movies, all EU is canon.

I go with a kinda backwards version of this.

If the movies don't contradict it, everything in EU is valid. Lucas himself supports the EU, but he can still say that this didn't happen or that didn't happen. One might even say that for things that Lucas himself had to personally approve of (like the Vector Prime thing), that it is true canon.

EU isn't canon to me, but unless Lucas makes something that says "It didn't happen this way", it's virtual canon to me.
