sithlord-II Posted May 10, 2002 Author Posted May 10, 2002 what sounds do you have, garik? only sounds i might need are better death samples, the ones i have are good but i needed one more and i don't really have the means to resample and cleanup one i have from ROTJ... the final scream he gives when his hand is cut off....

Padawan_AJ Posted May 11, 2002 Posted May 11, 2002 Just a suggestion for a source for Darth Vadar sounds. There is a really great model that was created for Unreal Tournament. The voicepack for this model was very impressive and clean. It has the sound of vadar when he got his had cut off and it seems to have been cleaned up pretty good. The sound is used for when he lands.
Zolden Posted May 11, 2002 Posted May 11, 2002 I've gotten the extremely awesome privelage of being able to test out this model(thanks sith ) and there is only one word that can describe it - "immaculate". The whole model looks fantastic as is, and even now sith is making some more tweaks and changes to it. The sounds, the gloss of his helm with lights, everything, once again - immaculate. You guys are totally going to be blown away. I know I was. Just be patient.

ArkAngel_mykl Posted May 11, 2002 Posted May 11, 2002 Sithlord, have you talked with raven soft about the cape problem. I've been thinking about that. They should be able to use the water coding for something like that (capes or robes) where the hard edge like the edge of a cannal or river... would be where the cape anchors to the shoulder and everything ripples down from there. If you can get someone there interested in doing some quick coding for a patch of some kind. They seem to be extremely people friendly there they might do it

Now, if you change statement to "words", then the sentence would sound much less choppy. Edit that post again, Gonk. I'M KIDDING! *giggles* I just want to play iiiiit! I really want to play it in Single Player...I will continue to stress that the saber battles with single player AI are much better...although I must say that the patch improved the multi-player saber dueling 10 fold...but still not beyond the capabilities of single player.
sithlord-II Posted May 11, 2002 Author Posted May 11, 2002 hey garik, i already sampled that sound right from ROTJ too its too bad it has that horns section in the background... and i've found a temporary solution to the cape issue, it now looks much better than before... still just assigned to the bones but *much* less clipping than before. just about have the left-hand with saber issue solved, and i've already started on LOD models for vader as well
