Hehe..here's a question, since it seems we've run out of things to talk about game wise. Which civ has the coolest looking interface by looking at the screenshots. I'd have the say the Naboo have a pretty sleek interface. The Galactic Empire interface looks plain and boring with cables connecting each part. I think as far as inteface its 1. Naboo, 2. Gungan, 3. Trade Federation, 4. Wookies, 5. REbel Alliance, and 6. Empire.

I wonder if its not too late to change the interface for the Galactic Empire...i was hoping for something more dark and menacing...that interface looks like something you'd expect to find on a Sega Genesis.

1.Naboo cause of the highly detailed buildings.

2.Wookies cause of the cool architectural styles.

3.Gungan because of their underwater buildings and their wierd organic looking buildings:amidala: :chewie:

The interfaces in age of kings were detailed and stuff..especially the Koreans and Chinese interfaces. Did those draw your attention away? With so much stuff happening on screen in an RTS game, how can you be distracted by interface???

They did a real good job with the Naboo interface, it looks sweet..like you behind the controls of a N-1!

Naboo may look nice and buetiful, but once the meet up with the Empire it won't look pretty anymore:D

Personally I think the wookies or Empire will have the coolest buildings and things.

I really never noticed the interface backgrounds in AOK. I have no idea wht they look like. And i never gave them a second look in GB until you mentioned it. It won't be distracting Leon, you hardly even notice it IMO.

I'm sure the Empire will defile the beauty of the Naboo, but the question was who had the coolest interface...you know with nice designs, colors and such..I know the Empire will be able to kick their butts cuz the designers prolly had to make up like 80% of the Naboo army and they prolly just made units to fill each caste and move on.

They'll balance the civ's but i dont think a lot of imagination will be put into the Naboo units. Seems like few people are overly excited about them.

Empire:

I think it looks fine. There should be the imperial logo somewhere though. I dont like the empty squares are the far left menu.

Rebels:

I think there should also be a Rebel logo. I like the x-wing like decal at the far left menu (where you see the units options).

I dont like the empty squares are the far left menu, needs to be worked on a bit.

Wookies:

I think there should be more wood textures. But I guess it looks fine

Gungans:

Now this is the best. It captures the gungan technology very well. Looks organic but not too much. Nice curves here and there.

Trade Federation:

http://www.galacticbattles.com/multimedia/screenshots/3.jpg

Uses the yellow-ish colors used by most of the TF units. Very nice

Naboo (allmost didn't remember these guys ARE in the game):

I like the golden like parts. Shows off how much they have of an ego. :)

But remember guys, some of these screenshots also have old art of the units. (like BIG foot units and small mech) So there is a possibility some of them have changed completly, or just a bit.

Unless we're looking at different screenshots, i don't see an x-wing decal anywhere, especially not on the far left.

I think everyone agrees that the Gungan and Naboo have really nice eye candy for interfaces...everyone seems pleased with the Galactic Empire interface as well, but i was hoping for someting like black metalic look...like darth vaders helmet. With glowing red icons and buttons like Darth Vaders Lightsabre!! That woulda looked cool and you're right..they have changed a lot so maybe they'll see this post and make that change?
