jedi2freak
After a month of solid playing I finally finished the game in Jedi mode at 2 AM CST!!!! Many thanks for all the tips in the forums... I am going to try some of the cool slicing and dicing now! (I finished with no cheats, however, I did come here for a few tips when I got really stuck.) For those of you who are discouraged and are thinking about cheating, I say: DON'T!!! Try to solve the puzzles yourself, and if you get stuck, come here, but only to get past the one part you are having trouble with... then continue the game using your Jedi skills. This is an incredibly challenging game, but to a Jedi, challenge will only make you STRONGER!!! Get tips here when you need them, but don't read the spoilers... you'll only be cheating yourself. Hang in there... and may the Force be with you!!!!
nova_wolf
Err, I don't wanna piss on your parade boyo, but have owned Jedi Knight for barely a week, and have completed it in equivilant of approx. 20 hours on Jedi mode. Took Tavion first time. Took Desaan second time (no invincibilty, no crushing under rocks, just good ol' saber combat, plus annoying the hell out of him with a seeker drone and sentry gun - hehehehe) I am now gonna start on jedi Knight, whilst tutoring two of my friends through the trickeir parts (The infamous Arturis_Surface level has reared it's ugly head already... I tempted that bitch right round the corner and into my sights - no dam,n game bug gonna force ME to cheat!)
NomadWR
Jedi Freak, It's a great feeling to get through the game isn't it!!! I really like your statment to other players that are still in their first pass at the game concerning the cheats!!! They do indeed ruin the intire game, with out a doubt!!! I got through the game, and then started in again in "Jedi Master" then I thought "what the heck, I've played the game once, why not turn everything on GIVE ME GOD MODE!" . That's when I found out (fast too I might add) that with the cheats on, this is not the game that I enjoyed for hours on end, at all!!! I promptly turned them off... And have not gone back into God mode since!!! ~Nomad~ Nomad's Place II
RazorBlade18
Jedi Freak, I've played cheating before in certain games several years ago (read: DK2 - JK, Warcraft II, etc). Problem is, cheating = no fun (of course, there is the 'sadistic' fun, but that's another issue entirely). I've not used any cheat keys for quite a while (Elite Force, StarCraft, Warlords BC II) ... I must say, the experience is much more enjoyable and satisfying. And I've not played any cheat keys in JKII ... and don't intend to. I AM playing at Padawan level though. ^_^
Vestril
Hey Razor, you should consider playing with some of the realistic saber combat cheats, on level one it doesn't unbalance the game too much, and you can hack people in half!! its too fun!! There's also a secret mind trick if you setforceall 5, its pretty cool too. These kinds of things add to the game, I reckon
NomadWR
I'm going to try that one (the "setforceall 5" ) that dose sound like it could be fun... ~Nomad~
RazorBlade18
Vestril, I agree that having a lightsaber and hacking people in half early on is fun (sadistic isn't it?), including the setforceall cheat. Oh, and I do enjoy them (I usually do that after finishing the game) ... but usually, after finishing a game, it's on to multiplayer or the next game. (and no, I have yet to finish the game) ^_^

You finished the game in 20 hours ? Did you really enjoy the game ? I mean, I've had this game for 3 weeks now and not in a hurry to finish it. I might play it for 4 hours one night and second night I'll just watch TV and enjoy the idea that I have such a great game that I can come back to when ever I like ! Well, that's just me... These kinds of things add to the game, I reckon Those things I don't consider 'cheating' so much as 'exploiting hidden features' Cheating (to me) is - gimme health, armor, weapons, ammo, keys, whatever ... to me that spoils the fact that I have a harder time killing mine crabs than Reborn ... if you have infinite health/armor/ammo, just whoop 'em all ...
