Sound Like R2D2

I was told not to tell anyone this (among many other things), but you can sound like R2D2 in game..

 

It's pretty stupid.. Here's the requirements:

 

#1 You will have the Kyle skin

#2 You can only hear it when you have no shields.

 

Just type

model r2d2

 

at the console.. That's all you have to do. If you have shields it won't work.

I was on a server yesterday and someone was testing the R2D2 sounds out. I think they also had enabled Jawa :jawa sounds. It was hilarious, cause at first a bunch of us thought we were losing our minds.

 

I'd love to be able to enable ewok :ewok: sounds. Mmmm, screaming ewoks...I get shivers just thinking about that possibilty. hehe.

I'm wondering if this is how you change sounds to be any model? I know there are a LOT of non-usable models in the .pk3 file and would like to be able to use their sounds... well I guess I'll have to try. ;)

JediGhost[sITH] definitely knows what he's talking about. I also found some other sound models that work besides r2d2:

 

\model gonk (only death sound)

\model probe (damage AND death sounds)

\model protocol (damage sounds.... very funny though.. "help me r2d2")

\model r5d2 (damage sounds)

 

 

So we have 5 models that produce sounds out of them all. Too bad they lack the animation sequences to actually use the models themselves.
