When its a full you can click the button and the fighter will shoot out a pair of projectiles at the target you selected. Of course it would have to be researched. . .

Force Commander had that...gave you a more powerful weapon.

If it was a game like ST Armada I'd say yes that is possible and would work great, but it isn't. It is ground warfare. I still say a game like Armada would be awesome for SW.

That would be cool. It would have weak lasers and shileds, but it would be cheap to. That could be an upgrade or something.

Paragon_Leon Posted August 26, 2001 Posted August 26, 2001 a deploying of droid fighters poses the same problem to the designers as the X-wing with it's S-foils. right now they're thinking of skipping the 'opening-closing' of them because it's proving to be too difficult on the eyes. it is a very cool idea to have deployed droid fighters, but from the looks of them, they don't fight once they're deployed. so why would you want them that way ?
Guest corranhorn Posted August 26, 2001 Posted August 26, 2001 Why don't they have the S-foils open when the fighter is stopped, as the fighters cannot do a protoss number and shoot while moving. (on an unrelated note, do you think droid fighters look like interceptors?)

First of all, you would have to wait for the foils to open before you could attack, so that would slow it down in attacking. Second, they would be opening and closing so often that it would get really annoying.
