RottenCadaver
How can I rip Character images from games like Sam & Max and DOTT with ScummRev?
Tomas
SCUMM Revisited can not be used for ripping characters, no. At least not from the earlier games (Sam & Max, DOTT etc.) but some costumes (character images) from the later SCUMM games like Full Throttle, The Dig and Curse of Monkey Island can be ripped with SCUMMRev. You can however use a program called Costume Ripper to rip from the older games. Find Costume Ripper on LucasHacks! (http://scumm.mixnmojo.com). RottenCadaver
I've downloaded Cotume Ripper but it don't works. Everytime I want to start I get this message: Syntax is costrip <lecfile> What's the problem?
Tomas
There's no problem, it just tells you how to use the program. For example, let's say you want to explore the costumes in Sam & Max. Then you'd run the program like this: costrip.exe c:\samnmax\samnmax.001 You obviously have to replace c:\samnmax\samnmax.001 with the correct path to your main Sam & Max resource file (suffix is either .001 or .sm1, I think). Hope this helps.

Jake
That reason there (ripping lec characters and sticking them into your own game) sounds somewhat bad. Hope you're not planning on making a game or something, as you will just get a new friend. remember:
