Hannibal
The scenese with 3po at the end added nothing. R2 did a litttle something. But 3po was there just for laughs. It gets dangerous when you write a character just for laughs and not to advance the story. I still enjoyed the movie.c3;)
hugepants
Really?! I was in hysterics ater seeing those bits with 3PO. Honestly, if it had been jar jar instead, I probably would have hurled a large object at the screen. I think Lucas thought he need to use 3PO for comic effect a bit more, with CGI capabilities now. He was okay really.
[Dom_Pmd]
3-CPO and R2 always get into wacky sh|t! Go watch the original trilogy...
Vicious
C-3P0 was gclassic comic relief and pretty good at that. Remember in the classic trilogy he was often comical too. Besides, how can you not laugh at a prissy english robot?
Natty
I think 3PO was best in the battle scene. DIE JEDI DIE!!!! oh dear me... Oh this is such a drag...I'm right beside myself I think the DIE JEDI DIE was the best bit though, oh and the droid who said he couldn't feel his legs he must be malfunctioning
RichDiesal
It was absolutely great seeing the comedic duo back in action... remember, Star Wars is an epic tale, and there are always characters there purely for comic relief in epics. What pissed me personally off about Jar Jar was that he was a comedic character and it just didn't seem like he was really supposed to be. He just...was. Darklighter
I think he was deliberately included as a slightly comic role. The main reservation I had about him, and the question I asked myself.........Did he really need to be there??
RichDiesal
Hmm... perhaps I should clarify that I personally don't always see "comedic" and "damn goofy" as the same thing. But that's just me, heheheh.
Jahs
It was Great to see 3PO and R2 argue for the first time
Darklighter
It really introduced the basis of their friendship, and to show that decades on in the story, nothing has changed. C-3PO and R2-D2 will always be the greatest pair of droids in this galaxy or the next...
coupes.
I liked the very last scene when anakin and padmé get married, where 3po puts his hand on r2 for the first time, it looked great! those 2 rule!!

Nawara Ven
Episodes 4-6 had no Jar Jar, instead they had C-3P0 and R2-D2. Nobody bats an eye when the comic relief is robots. But make it a frog-man and George Lucas is Satan. I've never understood why Jar Jar is automatically stupid and childish when Threepio and Artoo are just as foolish in 1-4-5-6...
