hugepants
Has anyone else noticed that when Dooku and Anakin duel, after Dooku knocks Obi-Wan to the ground, Count Dooku and Anakin have exactly the same fighting style? All their moves are the same, with that saber-over-head stance and everything. Could this be a reference to Anakin's future place in the next film, instead of Dooku? It's just a minor thing, but quite noticeable.
Rogue_Ace
Or it could be that they had the same coriographer (sp?)

Rogue Nine
Good explanation, but it screws up continuity. Count Dooku's fighting style is a supposedly older, more antiquated style of fencing. Therefore, Anakin wouldn't have the same moves as Dooku since he has been trained by Obi-Wan.

Darklighter
I suppose, but I didn't see Anakin (or Obi-Wan or Dooku, for that matter) jumping and flipping around like some crazed bandicoot. That would have been wierd.
Jedi SuperBuen
That's because Jumping around like a crazed bandicoot was ™'ed by Yoda
Dachande
actualy dooku using a form 2, an old saber stance which is proficient against other sabers, where as form 3 4 5 and 6 are proficient against blasters, obi wan uses form 3 the most defensive for, anakin uses form 5 the most aggressive, mace is the jedi form 6 instructor, which only the best swordsmen learn. Darklighter
How do you know this? It seems pretty farfetched, but logical.
Dachande
ive read the clones book, and i have the visual dictionary which goes into great detail about saber combat and the characters. if you notice, obi uses a stance which puts the saber straight up, to make the opponent flee, as jedis try not to fight, where as dooku has his saber facing forward, to try to intimidate the foe into attacking. Dooku learnt form2, which was the form used in the jedi war, jedi vs jedi, saber vs. saber, when the jedi won, they assumed the sith was forever gone so they adopted the antiblaster style, but dooku learnt form2 instead. Keiran Halcyon
Yoda trains the kids untill they are 12-13. so the saber stiles would be th one of the later master.
Rajess MoDuron
It has more to do with Anakin being on the offensive. His style is VERY agressive, my friend does Kendo and he said that no one uses that stance unless they are very very very fast. Dooku is simply changing his style to accomodate, the way a true swordsman does. He felt that his best chance of winning would through that same style, so he changed from the quick hamstringing attacks of his previous style to the more harsh assault of the style Anakin chose. Anakin either really tuckered him out, or Dooku feels bad for beating two Jedi, just look at his face after he cuts of Anakin's arm. And why does he feel the need to push Anakin over to Obi-Wan? It's not like Anakin can DO anything...or was Dooku afraid he could? And Anakin uses form IV, not V. Alright, I want to start a petition right here to have duel footage from ALL the movies restored when they are re-released. They cut the one in TPM in half, as they did with AotC. They need to redress this.
Keiran Halcyon
I have seen filming footage with Count Doouke with two stunt sabers. Is that a cut scene?

ValorXII
I always thought that was test to your senses without sight, rather than to actually be tought how to block blaster fire. Also, wouldn't Yoda be around long enough to have been using the Saber V Saber style? (If there is such a thing)
MotionMan
I read somewere that anikin is(or will use) VII style saber battle. I think it was in the visual dictionary. I dont have it I just scimed through it. Can anyone verify this?
ValorXII
It would have been, since it is the only place I have heard of fighting styles refered to as V, II etc... Of course I could be wrong.
