Oobedoob Benobi Posted May 27, 2002 Posted May 27, 2002 hmmm what I find that is the best way to make a skin/model accurate is to compare a good photo of the real thing and a good picture of your model. If you post a picture of the "real" face and a picture of your model's face we could help point out a few needed changes.
Mayweather_hk Posted May 27, 2002 Author Posted May 27, 2002 Actually I started by using the jedi model, but ... as its shoulder is not WIDE enough to make that starfleet uniform looks good, I've changed my minds to galak... and yes I'm trying to texture the face to be...more accurate...ahh yea, hope I can post up some more shots tmr...~
HapSlash Posted May 27, 2002 Posted May 27, 2002 The galak and jedi models along with most of the models in the game use the exact same upper torso. the only real difference is the fact that galak has a modeled collar while the jedi doesn't. They even use the same texture mapping, so if you wanted, you could switch the textures without having to alter them at all. Just thought I'd bring that up,...
Mayweather_hk Posted May 27, 2002 Author Posted May 27, 2002 thx ...perhaps I should start that all over again...heh I've always wanted to make skinz and believe me this is really only my FIRST try actually the collar did troubles me coz the 3 pips a commander have is only on one side but not the other... to make it easy easy perhaps I should make it to a starfleet officer instead... though Picard will be far more easier to skin...i think

Did you get that name off of that guys name in the new series of Enterprse? Just curious. You might try making an update on the model with the st:tng uniform on!) (Is it just me, or does the first screenshot picture of riker look MUCH better than the last?)
