Bluezman
Ok, I've seen EpII twice now. I still don't get it. I the droid factory when Anakin gets his hand stuck on that conveyer belt. He lies on the floor and cannot get his hand out. Then, all of a sudden, you see a part of his lightsaber fall off (which he apparently had in the hand which is stuck), so the saber is broken. All of a sudden his hand is free again. Can someone help me out here, I did'nt get what happened there. Thanx...
Craz
There was a torch/cutting device that came out and outlined the form and then a chopper cut off the final section. This sliced the saber and freed his hand. That whole scene was unnecessary in my opinion. It did nothing for the plot except explain their capture. There was too much going on and it was straight out of a Looney Tunes cartoon.
Bluezman
So why didn't he get the hand out in the first place, because he held the saber in his hand, the saber was stuck somehow and he couldn't let go of the saber becouse his hand was all tied down? Jeez... that's too complicated for me... Thanks anyway.
Faye Ying
he could of used teh force to activate his saber and cut himself free. but then if that happened, his saber wouldn't be busted, and it wouldnt' be a movie. haha

You should drop the criticism and watch the movie again. Hell, I even found some of C-3PO's jokes funny.
Redwing
I liked the scene. I also liked C-3PO's jokes, except for the last two when R2 dragged his head across the battlefield.

I just don't like that scene. What's wrong with criticism? It's simply my opinion. I still like the movie overall.

I don't think the scene was useless but, C3PO's goofiness could have been cut down a little bit. I did laugh.
Jedi_Monk
The way I saw it, his lightsaber was wedged in there pretty good--even if Anakin could activate it, its blade would only have punched a hole through the metal and wouldn't have had enough room to maneuver so that it would cut him free.
