SWG Episode: Weapons

Ok, I watched the E3 tapes over at Stratics, and it occurred to me to write an SWG Episode over the Combat one and get some opinions and answer my ?'s

Well, you have created a character (Bob) and he speacilizing(sp?) in cooking, but he also owns a standard blaster pistol, and has slightly below average gunnery skills (combat, sorry). Bob has to travel to a waypoint to get a special spice, but he comes across ST's who, shoot at him, he fires and misses.

How many shots will it take the stormtroppers to kill him? (if they hit him, in the chest) How many shots will he need to kill one (in the chest)?

Just post the answers or your questions?

I doesn't just depend on wether yout combat skills are good, it depends on a lot of other things.

If the windspeeed is correct, if the stormtrooper has had to much to drink, if the birds 5 miles down the road are singing, etc...

Its hard to tell really :D

But seriously, I think the stormtrooper has a better chance of winning, its combat skills are definatly above average

Sure it would, different blaster types will have different damage models.

Also, with Storm Troopers, it should be difficult to give an exact amount of shots needed to win due to the fact that your accuracy with the weapon will decide on how likely you are to hit him in a weak armored or open area.

As for the damage model to players being area specific, unless I missed it, that info has not been released yet.

In the e3 footage they said they have stuff with headshots etc.

So it will matter, the fact that u will hit depends on the amount of skills u have in your accuracy skill I think.

For example:

Basic shoot skill:

1 feet hit % 100

10 feet hit % 75

20 feet hit % 50

for a advanced shooter:

1 feet hit % 100

10 feet hit % 95

20 feet hit % 75

Yes that lightsaber would be a great food slicer.

LOL but seriously I don't think a cook will need to go searching for anything. I would be willing to bet that all the ingrediants you need are available very cheap at npc's. Or maybe farmers, but nowhere where danger is prevalent.
