looks good so far, but i'll suggest a few things (sorry if i sound overly critical :o).

 

- add some shadow under the nose, lower the shadow (like this http://www.starwars.com/databank/character/darthsidious/img/movie_bg.jpg)

- his nose could be rounder-looking

- deepen the cleft in his chin, move it down slightly

- his lips could have more definition (http://www.starwars.com/databank/character/darthsidious/img/curve.jpg)

Also his chin is smaller and his jaw is more round. In comparison to the pic, his overall face is too long as well. The nose shape needs work too.

Yep, its darth sidious, emperor palpatine during the days of the old republic before he became emperor. btw I noticed that we are having some issues with our blue ctf skin,sssssssssooooooooo...I decided to make a new one. this is also a younger version of palpatine if he wouldn't have walked down the wrong path. Jedi Master Palpatine

Looks Great Sith :D

 

Sorry about the hood, I sent the wrong version over. When I started weighting the face I stopped updating that version. I'm still going to do that version, but I wanted to get the weights correct before I made that modification so I didnt have to do it again

 

I'll tweak the hood and send you out a new glm

Sith Lord, the nose is now too big(his outer nostrils specifically). Try making the middle part of his nose(between the nostrils) bigger. And the chin still needs to be less wide. Finally, his face still looks too long. Part of the problem is that you have the wrong hood.

I'm going to send him out a new glm in a few mins

 

I can adjust the head a little more, and just adjust the uvmaps to compensate, but I dont know how they would come out in the end.

 

I'm sorry the head is not perfect, this was my first ever model, and It was a huge learning process. If I had to do it again I'd do it completely diffrent. One of the problems doing existing charecter is that without hours and hours of tweaking it's very difficult to make it look exactly the way it should

 

I'll send over the new hood Sith, and we'll see how it looks

pretty cool idea §ith Lord. it's nice to know that those non-lightning wh0re$ can still use a version of sidious/palpatine without looking out of place, if you know what i mean. :p

I gotta re-do Grafox's icon, and Psynex's icon actually moves in-game (real cool effect)

 

edit: Hey, looks really good Sith :) I might have to make the hood a little lower

 

edit2: Actually, looking at it, the hood may actually be exactly in the right position

might want to lower the dark shadow a bit, and give the skin more of a pink hue, otherwise that's looking better.

The middle of his nose is thicker, rounder and comes down more. The chin is better. His mouth is less wide too. Try making the jaw wider if possible. Looking good thusfar. The following are ref pics. It would be good for your Blue CTF skin as well(although you could make him look younger).

 

It would be hot if someone made the actual Senator Palpatine....

Alright Toonces, I made new Icons for my Sid, bluectf skins. On the veryfirst texture you gave me there was a texture for the metal clasp on his cloak, Arco forgot to add that on his robe, could you send me that again. I'll do some updateing on sid's face when I get back from work.

Your prediction is probly right Anakin, I'm gonna give Sith all the time he needs to do his Sid skin though :)

 

I'm not quite finished with that symbol texture, I'm going to do that with mostly shaders. I'll try and finish it tonight.

 

Oh, and I deffinatly will host the file myself in addition of uploading it to the major sites. You guys will definatly get it first :)

Cool, The Sidious version is looking good. Nice to see that's getting done. The hood looks nice, Toonces.

Sith, the skin looks great. You might want to exaggerate the lines going down the sides of his mouth. I know in EpisodeII that they are more present than in EpisodeI, so it's your call which way you go with it.

Very, very cool work.
