LukA_YJK Posted May 31, 2002 Posted May 31, 2002 I think they lost the right way even since "Return of Jedi"
Master Qui-Gon Posted May 31, 2002 Posted May 31, 2002 So whose story is it? Who are you to say it's lost its way? __________________ Master Qui-Gon's TPM Strategy Guide.
MotionMan Posted May 31, 2002 Posted May 31, 2002 Maybe he is a EU fan, and he expected the new movies to follow that path;)
LukA_YJK Posted June 1, 2002 Author Posted June 1, 2002 I am LukA_YJK and my rank is "Bantha Fodder" if you did not notice It's my personal opinion and I was talking about performance, you can talk a good story better or worse... I don't know why, but I still like to watch Episode IV and V. Although the special effects are incomparable, in these films there are some very special moments, even frames with a... how to say it... Force ? The lack of such moments make all new Episodes just a cartoon, I think... For example in "A New Hope" when Luke is flying through the Death Star trench, everybody was killed, he is alone against Evil, then everything become clear, music changes and... like he flows together with the Universe in his free flight under the stars... Use the Force, Luke... In Episode I only the last duel with Darth Maul has similar strength... But in Episode II there is not such a moment at all...
Cow_JK:O Posted June 1, 2002 Posted June 1, 2002 A lot of good points there. IV and V did some things right that VI, I, II cant come close to. The most significant in my opinion is the love-related stuff. IV and V (especially) did this with flawless excellence, encorporating witty dialogue with quick but meaningful scenes. I and II have utter crap for dialogue and overly prolonged scenes. That is of course merely one example as I am sure there are plenty more.
Redwing Posted June 1, 2002 Posted June 1, 2002 If it was anyone but you, Luka, I'd be saying some...interesting things
