The StarWars databank has all kinds of info on the Sith, It's origins, Darth Kaan, Exar Kun, Ulic Qel Droma, Kyp Duron, the Massassi, and on and on. It was very detailed and I think it might be what you are looking for. Check your local bookstore, if they have it, get it, as its a very good read.
