ProtocolJedi
First...let me make sure the coast is clear. *Looks around for MRJ. Not a soul to the left or right of me, for as far as the eye can see.* Ok, now a quick disclaimer: I've tried the search function, but it's been disabled. Again, I wanted to go through all legal channels before I proceded, but that option wasn't available. Does anyone know why Mark Hamill turned down providing the voice of Luke Skywalker for JK2:JO? I mean he's an accomplished voice actor and an avid radio drama fan, wouldn't this be a natural continuation for him? Bob Somethingorother has been the voice of Luke for all video game incarnations...and I'm wondering: Would the game public all of a sudden become panic stricken if out of nowhere Mark Hamill jumped in to replace Bobbi-O? (BTW, I'm deeply sorry for addressing this man as Bobbi-O, Bobkins, or Bob-Bob-Bob-Bob-Bob-a-ran ) Billy Dee Billiams starred as Lando, they even got Dennis Lawson to return as Wedge...but no Mark Hamill? Me thinks a conspiracy is afoot. Thank you.

Boba Rhett
Give it a rest, Darth Ball. The reason he didn't do Lukes' voice was because of scheduling conflicts. At least that's what I've heard.
[Dom_Pmd]
Tru dat!!! He did voice over for SoF2... It was on Sept 11th too eh, he was at Raven doing voice over for some other title not released yet and was basically stuck there cause all the flights were cancelled. The other talent didn't show, so he ended up doing voice for SoF2
striderx2048
it doesnt mean if that they couldnt go back to redo the luke voice, i.e like what they did in Elite force, they went back to use jerri ryans voice for fore 7of9 in a future patch
Lord Sokar
So, what was wrong with the guy who did do Luke's voice? I was quite surprised that it wasn't Hamill that did the voice, the guy was damn near dead on. I can live with it (seeing how I've played the SP twice and I'm done now). Aren't we all? ProtocolJedi
RamataKhan...you're wrong, I care. You know, I really didn't expect any replies to this thread. Have to say I'm a bit shocked that people took the time out from arguing a pro/con stance on the patch to even notice. And Ball, thanks man...really. I wrote nothing of offense, and you decide to berate me because you want to be the gloomy, dark ass who took it upon himself to be the voice of cynical commentary. Anyway, Luke Skywalker has always been my favorite character of the Star Wars Trilogy. It was Luke's story alone that I returned to see the following sequels. I'm relieved to hear it was scheduling conflicts, because I would have been somewhat displeased if it were due to being burnt out on portraying Luke in any medium. Maybe one day Hamill will return to the role that made him famous, perhaps...Galaxies? Jedi Knight 3? The Force is strong with young Skywalker. Russk Rijann
maybe its due to the fact that Star Wars typecasted Hammil as Luke Skywalker?
Vestril
I can't get over the fact that Dennis Lawson came back for Wedge!! I didn't even notice!! I'm going to have to go back to those levels, just to see!!

Anyway, I feel that Mark Hamill should come in and do his voice. It would be so cool. God why does Raven keep brushing this game off?!
Lime-Light
wtf? Give specific evidence of Raven ignoring this game.
Darth Wac
Saw a show on Biography about Mark Hamill... he is an amazing actor, voice over, broadway showman.... any idea how Lucas is going to continue Luke's character in episodes 7-9 without Hamill... mebbe do all the old actors from 4-6 as CG, they are gettin pretty good at it.. I particularly like Dextor
Vestril
Lucas isn't doing 7, 8, or 9--he said very specifically that he didn't want to spend the last years of his life doing Star Wars
Elegy
You're all forgetting about an old game called Wing Commander. Can't quite remember which one, but I had it on my old 3DO console. Mark Hamill played the role of the main character and was filmed for all the scenes where you walk about the ship and interact with all the crewmen. Too bad he couldn't play the voice of Luke in this game but eh, I'm not tripping over it because it's just a game. I thought that the voice of Lando sounded awfully alot like the actor in the movie, it's cool to know that little suspicion was correct. I'd forgot to check the credits when I beat the game and completely forgot about it up until now.

Elegy
LOL! So it does. It was on the back though with all that bloody damned text. Didn't need tp read it to know I wanted this game, I saw it in action already.
