PissedJedi1587246489 Posted May 17, 2001 Share Posted May 17, 2001 Now that we know a Jk2 is in the works and its using the Q3 engine.. after my wonderful experience with raven and Heretic2 Lets think of what Will be done. or should be done to improve the Jk experience. Oh and before folks question wether or not this game can be out in time for spring for 2002.. Raven was handed the q2 engine and they did Heretic2 in 18months. They have been working on this title I bet for over 6 months. There was always mentions of a secret Raven project. Anyway but I digress. with the use of a Powerful engine... what Should Jk2 be about? Gameplay wise. hehe. ------------------ Why am I a pissed jedi? Simple. The Star Wars trilogy is still not on DVD!! And JK Still doesn't have Dedicated Server Support! Many kinds of death moves for the enemies. 3. NO MORE SQUARE ARCHITEXTURE!! 4. Blood and body parts. 5. Huge levels. 6. no "back ally" storie lines. 7. 1st and 3rd person views. none of tis above head junk. 8. Tons of spiffy cool little features such as interactive levels that would let you effect anything in them including maybe stealing someones speeder and driving it aroound, stealing from people, maybe things like cantinas were you can get into fights. 9. Tons of side quests. 10. No more 8bit mats!! 11. Enemies that can pick up the same weapons you can pick up and use them against you. 12. Please let it be editable and possibly have an included editor. More to come. ------------------ I calculated the odds that this would work versus the odds that I was doing something incredibly stupid...and I went ahead anyway. Retail linux support = a wet dream. SAles of the Q3 linux version did not electrify and that hurt alot of chances of future titles having Linux ports.
