Anyone play AOTC game for GameBoy Advance?

Hi:

I was wondering if anyone here had played that, and what the opinions were on it. It seem to be getting OK reviews, but I want to check it from a JKII-er's perspective. We're going on vacation and I thought if it is decent it might be a decent diversion after the kids go to bed and while my wife is reading her book ...

Thanks,

Mike

OK, I found a review - GameSpot Review in which they give it a 3.7/10!!!

Here's a quote: "Star Wars Episode II: Attack of the Clones is raking in millions at the box office. Not coincidentally, THQ and David A. Palmer Productions have created an action game for the Game Boy Advance that's based on the movie. It looks and sounds as impressive as you might expect a game based on the special-effects-filled film would. However, the game itself, largely due to control issues, is very, very bad. "

... it looks like I won't be bothering ... but I am still interested if anyone here has played it.

And another ... from IGN scores it as a 6.5

"This Star Wars game isn't exactly the most polished of all the videogames that use the license, but it does have its moments...in brief shots. The side-scrolling levels could use a slight tweak or two to make them a bit more challenging and less redundant...they go on far too long with no "checkpoints" for when you bite it during the round. The 3D vehicle levels need serious work, not so much in the gameplay...but in explaining what needs to be accomplished. Not everyone's going to whip out their manuals to learn that "weird, round yellow and red ball = bad...jellyfish circle = good." It's a somewhat enjoyable romp, though...it's just not a very "clean" Star Wars title."

no dont get it, its an ok game but there are so many better game for the GBA. Attack of the clones doesnt use its 3D capabilities whereas Jedi Power Battles does but JPB is a bit tedious. AotC isnt very exiting, its hard to explain but just dont bother. my list of good games for the GBA is as follows:

1. Spiderman The Movie (fantastic)

2. Jedi Power Battles (may not be great but i just like star wars)

3. Advance Wars (very good, quite addictive)

4. F Zero (best racing game-better than mario kart advance)

5. Sonic Advance (same as all the sonics really but if u like sonic then its great)

6. WarioLand Advance (same as other wario but more controls and alltogether better-i like it more than mario)

When I picked one (GBA) up (I had a few trips I had to take for work ... wanted something other than my PC to play games on the plane), I got Doom, and Jedi Power Battles. Later on I picked up Ecks vs Sever.

- Doom had gotten GotY for GBA Action from 3DActionPlanet. I don't get it ... don't get me wrong, I love Doom, always have. I just found it choppy and dark, and could never get it comfortable.

- JPB - after getting hung up at stupid jump after stupid jump ... I never played past the middle of level 2. Maybe someday ...

- Ecks vs Sever plays much more like a FPS *made* for the GBA, than some nostalgia trip (i.e. Doom) I had played much of this before JKII came along, and the GBA has been in my drawer since ...

So ... based on what I've heard I'll not try AotC, and had already decided not to do Wolf 3D (another nostalgia trip for me). But perhaps I'll pick up the Spiderman game so I can share it with my kids ...
