Nemios
Yes! Now it is possible and without losing the possibility to do rolls, flips, DFA and the other special moves!!! This is possible with the SDK 1.03a. Someone think there are no changes from the official patch 1.03 and the dedicated server is already v1.03a. They are not the same thing! SDK 1.03a is changed client side too! One of these differences is about 1st person POV! In SDK 1.03a you have another cvar, that is CG_FPLS. If you set it in console: seta cg_fpls 1 you can play from 1st person POV. I discovered this in "cg_main.c" from the source code. To make it work you have to load the MOD. Where it is? I don't know I built it myself following the istructions in the readme file, but I read in other messages you can download a compiled version somewhere. I suggest to try the MOD, not only for the 1st person POV since there are other improvements you'll certainly like. I hope Raven will soon build an OFFICIAL patch based on the SDK... Exactly! I played solo last night and it is wonderful. Special moves for blue and red stances are beautiful. For the yellow stance one you don't really see what you are doing, but after some tries and hearing the sound it makes you understand how to kill your adversaries. You can also do backstabs/backsweeps (you still look forward while you do it, not very useful but since those aren't one kill moves anymore it's not a real problem) and flips/rolls. Saberlocks are a little bit weird, they are worse than single player. Sometimes opponents are not aligned very well (saber don't touch eachover) but who cares! Now I'm a lot more precise and enjoy much more. I'm happy!!! To download it I don't remember the link. I haven't downloaded it, I built it myself. If you want it I can send it to You. Just post your email address below (or I could try to send it to JKII.net)...
Pedantic
Hmmm...why would anyone want to play first-person with the saber? I just don't know.

Pedantic
Why do you like to is more of the question I was asking. And it was semi-rhetoric.

blujay
The U104 mod has this in it, since it's the SDK source code. http://www.massassi.net/levels/files/2182.shtml

HurT
...just kind of a silly question. It's like asking "why would you want to drive a red car?" or "why would anyone want to eat pizza?" It's a preference...simple. Bump.
